Reviews for Capitalism
Disquieted Muse chapter 1 . 8/21/2007
A reasonably competent attempt but it suffers the same fate as much of the work on much of the writing degenerates to a rant. Many pieces sink to a melancholic state where everything seems hopeless and it is obvious how bad things are but no one suggests a remedy or action to change the status quo. It appears society, as represented by writers and poets, has fallen victim to a serious bout of inertia and mediocrity.

'Capitalism' is reasonably competent, with some suspect use of punctuation, but lacks any conviction or passion. This piece feels more like the scribblings of a slightly melancholic child who has read a few articles from the Socialist Worker rather than the inspirational, eloquent and impassioned writings of Marx and Trotsky! This is not the fuel of revolution... it feels more like a rant.

Art thou a Communist? Or merely a Socialist?
