MiranDuranDa chapter 10 . 3/28/2015
Have you considered posting your stories in Wattpad? I just recently started reading there because an author (who's work had also been ripped off) switched her story to Wattpad since you can't copy and paste from their site/app.

After seeing your name come up multiple times on the SKOW awards page, I would love the opportunity to read your work.

Can you post it on Wattpad (where you can't copy and paste) or something?

rynnzy chapter 1 . 10/16/2012
seriously, I have tried 3 times to get into PH just to reread your stories again and see if you have new ones! i cant get in and honestly i dont mind too much seeing as how i dont have a ton of time to be an active member of any internet site. however, do you have some sort of mailing list for people who want to know if you ever publish anything? its pretty easy to self publish an ebook of some sort. if you do, PLEASE TELL ME. I adore you and your work and i hope you publish something soon! i will buy for sure :) you're stories have led me to tears and lead me to laughs and i've fallen in love with your characters more than once (not in a weird way, u understand) so dont jealously hide your talent please! your public needs you girly!
Guest chapter 1 . 7/20/2012
Hello. I must say that I love the beginning of your story. You've managed to keep it nice and simple (some authors try too hard in their introductions) by giving the reader a little window into the personality (that most people can relate to) of the main character. While at the same time finishing the chapter with an intriguing cliffhanger that leaves the reader wanting more.

I usually stay clear of incomplete stories because I'm the kind of reader that absolutely has to finish reading a book once I've started. I don't think I've ever not finished a book, even the ones that take a long time to take off or that I didn't like because I always think what if I had just read a couple more pages, I would have missed the good part.
But I kept falling on stories by you, Myrika, and Angels and Effects and saw that you guys formed PlagiarismHaven. Everytime I would get excited by the description, just to be disappointed that the story had been removed because of plagiarism. So I gave it a try to see why all the plagiarism. Part of me regrets having read chapter 1 cause now I'm aggravated by the fact that I won't get too know who the mystery guy is, I won't get to see if Jamie's self-esteem improves, BASICALLY I won't get to see how it ends.
However, the other part of me is glad I read your 1st chapter. I wanted to see why you were getting plagiarized and now I understand. It's well written, concise, relatable and just enough of ''eeek'' what's going to happen next to keep readers hooked. (Oh! And I love your punctuation. I know lame but even though I'm not great at it, I hate reading things that are hard to understand just because they are not properly punctuated.)

So I get why you get plagiarized but I really don't understand why people plagiarize. I don't see what they benefit from it. You can't write, you can't write, live with it. Everyone has different talents. I love reading but I hate writing (and I can't, I'm not creative enough) so you don't know how glad I am that other people love writing to support my book addiction.
So from a book addict to an author, thank you.

I hope you keep writing and I mostly hope you get published. If you ever do get published, you already have 1 book sold.

Good luck!

JD Allen,

I am shocked that I just found this story, only to find out that it was removed due to plagiarism. People should really learn that if they cannot write a story, that copying someone will not make them a better writer, period. But anyway.

The first chapter was really inviting and strong and made me interested in learning MORE about Jamie. The first chapter is usually one of the hardest parts of a story to write. It can either make or break the reader's interest. However, you kept me wanting more. Even though I knew for a fact that this wasn't going to be continued here anyway. I can relate to her since I have a few scars on my body (however, mine are due to surgery). I'm glad you at least kept that chapter so we(the readers) can get a feel of what we are missing out on(sadly).

Favorite line of this : Other girls had boyfriends, other girls got their first kisses. Other girls got to experience that special joy of realizing a member of the opposite sex had the hots for her. I was not a lucky other girl but – yes, you guessed it - my friends were.

That line captured most of my life. Even though it doesn't bother me much, it still hurts a tiny bit. But it is life. Life isn't always on our sides.

I hope that you continue to keep writing even if it's not on fictionpress and that you don't have to worry about plagiarism as much anymore. No one deserves that. Have a nice day.

Paddyyirishgirl chapter 1 . 3/22/2012
JD Allen,

I just want to open by saying sorry for the plagiarism issues you had to go through... At least you know that you are that good that other people felt like they needed to copy your work. Well, actually that sounds like I'm justifying what they did, which I'm most certainly NOT! They're a disgrace.

Anyhow, back to your story. Thank you for leaving up this taster chapter. Would you believe that I really enjoyed this chapter? It was so strong for an opening chapter, which I find is the hardest to write, but yeah I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt like reading more, but hopefully I'll get accepted in your LJ community. :)

My favourite part was " I was not a lucky other girl but – yes, you guessed it - my friends were." You made your piece of writing so relatable, it was like reading a replay of my life. Thank you for your honest writing.

YOU ROCK AND DON'T FORGET IT! ;D

Best wishes,

Paddyyirishman

The first chapter is very good, and I'm sad to hear about the plagiarism.

13teen chapter 10 . 11/17/2011
Oh my gosh!

How dare someone still your story! I wa just reading the first chapter and was really interested in it. I then moved on the next chapter and started freaking out because nothing appeared an I thought my computer broke. but I then read the end note.

I enjoyed the first chapter, and I'm hoping that eeryrgubg works out okay. :)
Dismal Daydreams chapter 1 . 9/21/2011
I feel horrible that your story got stolen. You have a great writing style and its a shame that you can't share your talent with readers anymore. I hope that this incident hasn't stopped you from writing, even if you might not share it with anyone.
