This is such a great story any chance you will do a sequel

Hey Sam... happy 4 of July! I already own a choppy of both but I was wandering if Because of you has a sequel or you're planning one?

I knew there was something. They were amicable so fast, and we're not even halfway through the story. Romance, in general, is terribly boring in literature/dramas if there isn't drama. That's because most of us find couples who get along as boring...that's why rom-coms is better than just roms. Humour makes romance seem exciting and a joy to experience. Coz we, as the human race, resonate with conflict and if not, a good laugh. Because we can all relate to it...so yeah.

Wow. This was so heartfelt that I shed some tears for this story. My mind is blown and I can't even express the level of emotion I'm experiencing right now. I love typical romance where the guy and girl meet, fall in love, and have a happily ever after regardless of what anyone else says but that's not the most realistic thing to do. I appreciate that fact that you Nicole a brain and I really like how the ending left readers to imagine Nikki and Derek's reunion and their own happily ever after. It's really unfortunate that I hate imagining how things will turn out but I know asking for a possible sequel to "Because of You" would be too much to ask and defeat the entire moral part of the story. Really, you've done an incredible job with your stories and I'm looking forward to more of your writing. Thanks for sharing!

I loved this story a lot!

I absolutely love this story . . . it's just so different and unique and interesting! It draws you in and keeps you wanting to read on.

But this is definitely a favorite, and I'm glad I found it and read it!

You are an amazing writer!

So I read Because of You when it was first published, I was 13 at the time, sheesh time flies by. I'm now turning 20 in 2 months. Been in relationships and out of them since then. I'm glad to hear that you have a baby now though! It's been really refreshing to re-read this. The emotions I felt back then I re lived them again. I was in Nikki's position when I was 17 turning 18, but I did what was right for me and cut my ties. Unfortunately there was no happy ending for us, but now a few years later I have a wonderful boyfriend who I love very much, 4 years older and with 3 little boys. A lot on my plate huh? Well to not make this a story in itself, we talked about how complicated it will get and how difficult things might be. He's an amazing father and man, don't know why his ex ever cheated on him. Safe to say I'm well aware of the hardships we will face, but I love him more than I can ever explain in words. Even though we're not in the same position as Nikki and Derek. I can relate to her emotions, the jealousy, the overwhelming sense of love that is terrifying at times and can cause you to question your sanity, not to mention the selfishness of wanting that somebody to yourself. We make a year next month, so to make my point I guess. Is that even after getting your heart torn up by the person that you cherish the most, you can come back and eventually let someone have your heart again. But also that, as I did, and so many others have done, sometimes you need to stop and cut them out. Thank you for giving the Nikki's out there a voice, and making me think back to how much I have grown as a woman because of the heartache and dead ends. I can say that 100% the worst pain you can experience is being in love and being loved but have everything against you while you're trying to stay afloat and not drown.

I'm usually a total sucker for happy endings so yeah, I'm a bit disappointed that there wasn't a traditional happily ever after. But overall, I'm still proud of Nicole's choice and the decisions that she made. I just wish that Derek would have fought harder for her. It was still an enjoyable read. Thank you and well done!

I'm too sad right now! I know not every story can have a happy ending, but I always wish for one. Well, this was a roller coaster ride I won't soon forget. These kind of stories haunt me. It's fitting that you would focus on Wuthering Heights in this angsty story, since that is probably the best tragic love story ever written. I am glad, however, that you left your readers with that glimmer of hope for our star-crossed lovers. I also do love a dark hero, and Derek was very bad in the beginning of the story. I can't ever seem to make my bad boys bad enough, and now I know why. It takes guts to write them like that. I really love you for being that brave, because I enjoy reading sexy bad-which is very different from evil bad. Bad boys are very sexy in fiction. Heathcliff has ruined nice guys for me. Good thing I have more sense in real life. Anyway, thanks for a great, engaging read. I'll eventually forgive you for making me cry.

This is actually my first book to read on this site and wanted to say you did amazingly great however I feel like in the ending you kind of rushed a bit ... That is ok though :) thanks for keeping me busy and interested
