Ah, this is probably one of my favourite chapters so far. It's great, there's just so much in it to like. Demon PE Teacher, Slow acceptance, almost dying _~, getting caught by his mum- who didn't even twig who he was with, (that was priceless by the way).

Oh yes, very nice. I also like how you haven't made the whole student/teacher thing uncomfortably kinky. It's done well. ]

And we finally reach the "acceptance" stage! Poor Nick, so out of shape. He probably did better than me at this point though ;)

You certainly have a talent for first person stories. You get right inside the character's head and invite us along for the (highly detailed) ride (Yes, that's a compliment: you know the characters well enough to even share with us their most mundane of thoughts).

I'm only up to ch 5, but I wanted to stop and let you know that I've laughed plenty and enjoyed it immensely so far. In fact, you've a knack for hooking readers in with your first few sentences (I've read a few of your other stories and can say this was a fair amount of certainty).

My favourite line so far was this: "Apparently, I’m a subconscious sacrilegious heretic, and if there were any doubts at all that I’m going to go to hell when I die, they’ve been cleared up for me." Genius.

I'm intrigued to see where you take this story and the protagonist, Nick. I'm certain it will be involve love/navigating relationships and some coming-of-age lessons. In terms of the 'love' aspect, on one hand, we have Doug the 'friend' Nick supposedly doesn't like, yet the last two chapters have centred mostly on the two of them hanging out? As if they are friends. Hmm. Then you've got the gym teacher-come-border and then there's Angel Boy. Essentially, I'm drawn in and not knowing what's in store from this point on.

Nick's interesting; though, to be honest, I'm yet to warm completely to him, not sure why, but I imagine my fondness for him will grow (as it did with your MC in With Intent, though I think he got under my skin a little sooner). Perhaps it's because I'm yet to fully understand Nick but I can see the potential-he's not perfect, he's ordinary but quirky, and he's got some vulnerabilities which makes it easier to feel for a character-but I'm just yet to jump that chasm. I'm sure it will happen, though! I've faith in your writing and am eager to cross that bridge when it comes. :D

Thanks for writing and sharing. I think you've a talent that is up there with published authors. I'd pay money, actual money, and a fair bit of it to read your stories.

Also, that is why binge exercising is just as bad as binge drinking, binge eating and binge anything else. That's why they call it a binge. Ooh, that's a great word. I've never really thought that before. *goes to use it some place else*

Long distance running is evil, but not nearly as evil as the Beep Test. So glad I'm done high school and will never have to do it again! XD Ouch, blacking out...I nearly did that for the first time this week...it was NOT fun. Aw, Mike takes such good care of him. Well, health-wise anyway. In other areas...I think Nick's just getting more frustrated. Ha, his mum makes me laugh. Getting mad at the waste of water and being later to school, not being caught making out in the shower. At least she didn't find out who with! Wow, Nick just jumps to the wrong conclusions, now, doesn't he? It should be obvious by now Mike wants him. Geez. But with that last bit...guess the point's been made, eh? XD Looking forward to the next chapter!

and the sexual tension breaks! yes!

o! quick update- lovely! the morning run did not go quite as i had figured it would, especially there at the end with nick, but it ultimately ended up quite nicely. the shower scene was hot and nick's mother bursting in was priceless! i found it a bit surprising that she didn't recognize mike, but then our expectations definitely color our perception, and she certainly would not have expected to see mike in the shower with her son.

i will say that the chapter seemed to go quite quickly, but i don't think it seemed rushed. it matched the pace of the action- the description of their run being somewhat short because they weren't talking, and then the panic-play-lust-panic sequence once home and in the bathroom obviously keeping us moving along quite quickly. i think it all fit together very well.

and yay for mike finally assuaging at least some of nick's fears over this whole thing. poor boy kept jumping every time mike pulled back. definitely can't wait to see where this goes next! :)

i seriously think that the teacher and student pairing is kinky but it works. haha

I've been reading this story all along, but haven't actually bothered to review yet. Just gotta say, this last chapter was brilliant. I thought the story was a bit goofy at the beginning, but Dougie makes for decent comic relief, and I love both the main character and Mike. Nice job.

hahaha Nick's out-of-shape-ness is probably not as bad as mine.. But seems to me like it turned out to be to his benefit?

Looking forward to the next chapter... I'm anticipating something exciting happening at school. But maybe it'll be something anti-climatic... I hope not.
