muchadoabouthim chapter 6 . 11/24/2007 This is a very interesting story so far. I can't wait for an update. No pressure, though. Congratulations on hooking me onto your writing. (Although that's not too difficult a task, as I am completely addicted to slash). Thanks, Brenda. |
tmelange1 chapter 6 . 11/17/2007 These guys are absolutely adorable together! Of course, I'm waiting for the shoe to drop, but until then, I'm so glad to see them happy together. Bravo on a great continuation. |
sylenctone chapter 6 . 11/15/2007 Seeing one of your fic notifications in my inbox always makes me smile! And I certainly needed it today. I'm pleased to see that the troops seem to approve of Evan being there. Dahl certainly does. I am still quite intrigued by Vardon. Somehow I would not be surprised if he should sneak off to the front as well. The king is most certainly a detriment to his country and young Vardon, though perhaps untried and a bit spoiled, would certainly be a marked improvement. Alonzo too seems to be quite in the thick of things and so too, Joss by association. I do so hope he'll continue to torment the king and take his attention off Dahl and Evan. And finally, I'm pleased at the suggestion that Evan help the medics. He'll feel useful without putting himself in undue danger. I just worry what will happen the next time Dahl is injured... well I guess I shall just wait and see! Thank you so much for writing! I think I like your original fiction more than fanfic! Sincerely, Your long-winded fangirl, jess |
jadedraconian chapter 5 . 11/14/2007 Great job as always. I really enjoy how the characters are being developed and I love that the chapter ended with a hug. Hugs are underrated sometimes. I too, hope that some sort of misfortune will befall the king. |
sylenctone chapter 5 . 11/8/2007 Hm... I think I might like the prince. He doesn't seem quite the idiot that rumor makes him out to be. And I think he's rather fonder of his cousin than he dare let on. Now if only something horrible should happen to the king... heh. And now that Evan is on the front, Dahl has something to live for. Maybe he'll decide that all those men out there probably do too. And just maybe he'll find a sneaky way to find peace. Ok that is just jess wishing happy endings on everything. Mostly I'm just glad they're both in the same locality so there can be lemony goodness. Thank you for writing! Your fics always brighten my day. As always, Your delighted fangirl, jess |
tmelange1 chapter 5 . 11/8/2007 Yay! :happy dance:: He made it! And just when the general needed him most. :) I love it. Bravo on a great continuation. I'm amazed at your talent to maintain such a gripping story with such excellent characterizations. I particularly liked what you did with the prince. It's good to know that he wants to do the right thing... I look forward to more. |
tmelange1 chapter 4 . 11/2/2007 Great continuation! I love how everything is coming together. :) Bravo! |
Prof. D chapter 4 . 11/1/2007 Amazing! I'm so glad Evan is going to the front! Well, happy because he'll see Dahl, but not because like I said before: super dangerous. It does create adventure and angst, though, so I'm sure you've got some great plans ahead. I loved this chapter! I checked for an update several times today, convinced it would happen and then, voila! So Lord Alonzo and Joss? I wasn't actually expecting that at all. At least Vidar has someone within the palace who can throw back his ridiculous behavior and get away with it. I have a feeling Alonzo is going to rock in the later chapters. Good luck with your next chapter and I hope to see it really soon! -Prof. D |
sylenctone chapter 4 . 11/1/2007 Oh I'm so glad Evan *is* really going to the front. And Joss gets his man too! “As long as you’re energetic.” just made me grin. It seems as though everyone is getting something out of helping Evan get to the front. Evan gets to see his beloved Dahl, Cherise gets the piece of mind that her friend Dahl will be a bit happier. Joss gets to spend some nights with his beloved Alonzo. Alonzo gets a new lover *and* the chance to piss off Vidar. Well ok, maybe Vidar doesn't get anything out of this but he's rather a petty jerk so I'm certain I don't care! Hehe. Oh, I can't wait for your next update! Thank you for writing! As always, Your devoted fangirl, jess (btw: How's the research going for GW at Hogwarts? *so* excited!) |
sylenctone chapter 3 . 10/26/2007 C'mon Evan. Surely you must see that you have to go to him. Take lessons in first aid or something and head out there. Better yet Dahl can fake his death and return. Ok, I am an emotional fangirl but that last letter was just so resigned and melancholy that I have to speculate about ways to 'make it all better.' Nonetheless I am really enjoying this story. Thank you for writing! As always, Your somewhat teary-eyed fangirl, jess |
Prof. D chapter 3 . 10/25/2007 Oh dear this is so heartbreaking! You must update again soon! Oh poor, Dahl! Evan! No! I honestly adore your work, even with the war and death involved there is something that is always so innocent about the stories and so matter of fact in the romance that I just fall in love with every word and every character. Cherise is excellent and I am excited she is the go between character for Evan and Dahl. But, oh god, Dahl! Waiting for chapter four will be the death of me! At this point, I'm willing anything good to happen. I'm expecting Evan to just, appear at the front in the next chapter or two and be like: I missed you so much, look, here I am! That would make me happy, but nervous, since everyone at the front is dying. What is the King thinking! ARGH! Please update soon! -Prof. D |
tmelange1 chapter 3 . 10/25/2007 Great continuation! I feel very badly about the situation as it stands. You have me hoping for better things for for Evan and Dahl. They deserve some happiness... Bravo! |
tmelange1 chapter 2 . 10/25/2007 I really like both of your main characters. You're doing an excellent job developing them. Bravo. |
tmelange1 chapter 1 . 10/25/2007 Excellent beginning! I was riveted. :) I thought your characterizations were particularly well done, and your dialogue very professional. Bravo. |
sylenctone chapter 2 . 10/18/2007 The second chapter is just as promising as the first, filled with tender sentiments, sensual imagery, and now a large helping of delicious angst. How will Evan fare alone once Dahl returns to the front? Will the king cause problems for the young accountant? Will Dahl manage to stay safe on the front lines? How will pining for his new lover affect his new command? Will Evan have the courage to sneak away to be with Dahl? I find myself caring quite a bit about your characters and their happiness. Thank you very much for writing. As always, I look forward to your next chapter. May your Muses and Real Life conspire together to provide you with ample writing time! Sincerely, Your angst loving fangirl, jess |
