| SarahMerriman chapter 1 . 1/22/2010
So many people are afraid to use allusions (I am one of them). I congradulate you for your bravery. The tone is beautiful. It was very well executed. Good job.
| wonderland is different now chapter 1 . 12/20/2007
Ah, I adore this.
I have just memorized and performed Mercutio's dazzling speech, recently..
And I have to say, you've made it so much more beautiful.
| simpleplan13 chapter 1 . 11/16/2007
I like this... all the Shakespeare references were great and I love how you explain all of that in the end.. great job
| kaylajac chapter 1 . 11/2/2007
you took my favorite part of Romeo and Juliet and make me think of when I still liked it in the seventh grade. Queen Mab is still amazing. Mercutio is still wonderful. and your last line gives me shivers.
| Aquafied chapter 1 . 10/23/2007
this brings back memories from freshman year
it is beautiful
it seems so contained.
| Indigo Carmine chapter 1 . 10/22/2007
I definitely enjoyed it, but I'm more into modern. Your language is beautiful.
And I love the song "Siren" by Tori Amos, so I also like the title you chose, and how it ties into your poem. (Cate Blanchett is very hot; I must see that movie.)
| she smolders chapter 1 . 10/21/2007
Maybe it isn't one of your better poems but the emotions in it can still be felt and the stories you tell are always gorgeous to read. It always strikes a chord in me when sirens are mentioned in poetry too. Take care.
