Not what I was expecting at all! When you said the Horse Who Could Talk...I assumed you meant in a purely body language type way! This is a bit more interesting than that though ;)

Plus, you sound like you actually know what you are talking about - knowledgeable horse people are something FP needs more of. Most "horse people" on here don't know that different horses need different saddles, that they need to be shown new fences, or what reach (or over reach) even is.

I do hope, however, that you are not implying that Arabs have neither intelligence nor personality because if you were, I would have to send my very intelligent and personable Arab over to kick some sense into you.

Hmm...this is different than I was expecting. I like the build up. A suggestion I might make would be to change the viewpoint however. Black Beauty was such a phenomenon because it was from the horse's point of view. I feel like that would be to your advantage, but then again, I don't exactly know where you're going with this, so I'll just wait it out. Who was Kelly? The previous owner? I liked the name Necromancer, that was cute.
