Beautifully written.

This is an excellent work of fiction. The quality of writing you put in this work is admirable. The words flow from the screen like silk, and it's easy to immerse yourself in this fantasy world. The story is certainly interesting, though I do wonder where the romance part starts.

I myself have been writing a fanfic that is roughly similar in nature of yours, though I can only hope to be on par with your level. I hope you continue writing this fic, though that does not seem very likely, looking at the timestamps.

Ive read your story from your homepage, following the links from Draw Me a picture's author, and i'm currently following the links around to see when the sequel's coming up T_T

I liked the summary and always go for these types of stories, and am pleasantly surprised to be able to read more of the story than i expected. The descriptions were very vivid of the army and the environment around it, and i like how everything's realistic and to the point. The only thing i think it lacks is that i kinda had the feeling i was standing in the distance observing the character's movements. i feel the story could have been greatly expanded to included more of Joseph's emotions and reactions, so as to give him more character depth, and build more on the interaction between him and Elizabeth besides 'they met every week for many weeks and developed an interest in one another' o.o

I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to buying the sequel . I'm not sure whether this is the proper place to review, but couldnt see any other place to write my opinion so... Kudos to your independant publishing and i'll support you (I just got my paypal set up since i'm of age so YaY)

I like very much how you described things simply, without deluging us with descriptions as many hist fics are wont to do. I hope Joseph is older by the time romance enters into the picture. LOL
