I hope you remain close. to the people you love., and regain if possible even a shred of the optimism of the stories you once used to write. Pain always changes us into a person who we weren't before and I am sure you will get through this too. I wish your parents didn't ground you for using the computer to pour out your feelings. through typing.

Great work on relating the relationship with a dependence on cigarettes. The toxic connotations of the latter help place the romance in a darker context. Although it's a theme I have seen in many other pieces, your take on it is fresh (excuse the irony) with some well-placed phrasing. I like that you divided this poem into numbered stanzas since it reminds me of pamphlets I've read that list the dangers of smoking. The last line is also a memorable one; a great way to close the piece with its suggestiveness.

One correction: in the second stanza 'before i feel my mood/start become unstable' sounds a bit odd. I think you meant 'before I feel my mood/become unstable'? It just jars a bit with the rest of the poem.

This is a very cute drabble. Yet, despite its length, I also find that you've conveyed the right touch of love and angst for this to be believable. The language is simple but the word choice is perfect for the genre. This makes the message sound all the more genuine.

There was one issue with the punctuation: 'i wonder if your heart aches, too, days on end' doesn't need the extra comma before 'too'. Apart from that, great job.

I can’t remember the last time I reviewed a story, but I figure that if anyone needs a review right now, its you. I’m not going to lie. When I read about your dog, I cried. It made me think of my old dog that I had to put down a couple years ago, even though it feels like yesterday. It made me think of my new dog that’s really not so new because I’ve had him for a year now but I love that dog more than anything. Now your probably wondering why I’m even telling you this and I probably wont send this but if I do, I just want you to know that things will get better. After reading the other parts of this story it sounds like you’ve found a really great guy and I hope things get better for you soon. Everything happens for a reason and what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger blah blah blah, you’ve probably heard it all before. Now I’ll shut up but before I do, I just want to say that I’m going to miss updates and new additions to this story.

actually, this is exactly what I was expecting. I think it's great. What's great about it, is that it's real. It's genuine and the emotion. . .you could touch it if you wanted to, it's that true.
