Reviews for The Sylvian Outlaws |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() I quiet enjoyed the fight scene between Kavour and Arnae! Even if he suddenly turned kind of...moody. But then again, I've always kind of had a thing for the arrogant, moody types. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't necessarily think the scene with Lord Byrnes was completely random, after all, every story needs a bit of comic relief. So...um...the slave master was stealing the geese? I'm a little confused on that... But anywho...and WHAT is the world is Lord Kavour hanging out with Timar, a slave, for? |
![]() ![]() ![]() (Dictation taken by (the late) Squire Fenbrick of Loxley) Loxley, eh? Isn't that where Robin Hood is from? Lol...I'm probably wrong, but it was slightly amusing to say the least. Poor Squire Fenbrick! Also, these Sylvian Outlaw types are very elusive! I suppose I kind of expected them not to show up, actually, just because of all the hype in Arnae's mind. And by how sure she was that they WOULD show up. It wouldn't make for good conflict within the plot if they so conveniently HAD shown up. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I sense some sort of strange romance going on here between Arnae and Jasperian. BUT, I could be wrong! I'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. So Arnae looks like the princess, huh? That's going to make things VERY interesting in the future, I think! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! Lord Jasperian! He saved her! In a very...unclimatic...way. But hey! At least he did it, right? And how weird the argument between Kavour and Jasperian was. I'm starting to get a feel for your characters and I love them-even the mean, evil ones! LOL! Fantastic! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ROFL! I LOVE LORD BYRNES! I mean, who ever would have thought that seagulls could be that scintillating! |
![]() ![]() ![]() To be honest, for a second there, I was beginning to be VERY frustrated with Nireem but she definitely redeemed herself. Seriously, I thought for a while there that she was going to be just like the other mean girls...not that that would have made sense, with her being so ostracized in the first place, right? Hmm... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, okay...so Lord Duncan is an ass. (Excuse my language!) And this Lord Kavour, who is my absolute HERO for stopping that jerkwad from beating on the slave even MORE, is quite intriguing. Also...is there some sort of secret door in the blacksmith's forge room? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I very much like where you're going here. Good job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Gee, felt a little like slapping Branic upside the head for treating Nireem like that. He's not exactly a pleasant little rose himself, either! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I REALLY hate the slave master...but, I suppose you intended that to happen. Fayanne's not too awesome either. This story is very interesting in the fact that it's fantasy, (set in a different world than ours?) and yet has modern "lingo" and "slang." |
![]() ![]() ![]() I very much enjoy the beginning of this! It reminds me so much of a story I started and never finished, years ago. Of course, you're OBVIOUSLY doing a BETTER job of it! Very nice! |
![]() ![]() ![]() LOVED the gallows scene. adr. seemed so queenly during it. and i liked the scene of her at the end as well. you handled the scenes in the prison (with the corpse and the fiddler) very well also. i felt those scenes with her, it was awesome. and the pain and the scenes with kavour! i have to go now because i'm on my brother's computer and he's annoying me to get off but yeah, couldn't leave without letting you know! well done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So I've finally caught up, and I'm quite sad I have no next button to click. I loved the tension you created during the gallows scene, I was holding my breath waiting for what was going to come next. I don't think Arnae was too accepting, but then again she wasn't in a state where she could argue him about it. I think she was in such a state of pain and shock of what had happened, learning that Kavour had magic, just seemed like another event to add to the list of everything that had happened to her recently. Can't wait for the next part! |
![]() ![]() ![]() First of all, I love Timar, officially my favorite character right now! And I like how he and Shorro are making plans to get Arnae and Kavor together. Love the sneakiness! And to answer your question, personally I didn't think there was enough fluff, but then again I'm biased in the sense that I love reading fluff! But I like that there is progress between the two characters. Now I'm curious as to how Arnae is going to break off the engagement with the Emir... |
