This was a great chapter, Galen's character seems more deep than you're letting on. That's good. He knows a lot. Knowing is also good! I think that Knight is probably going to make a reappearance, but not until Luke is almost better. After Galen helps heal Luke (that's what it seems he will do, even if it takes a long time), Knight will show up and threaten to break Luke again, simply with his presence. Yes, I think that's what it seems will happen. Very good chapter. Sad. I can't wait to read more. Love always!

As for Knight, well I think Luke took his words way too seriously, but still I dislike him for making poor Lukey-boy so sad and emo. So he can go away as long as Luke gets a cuddle bunny that doesn't say mean things in anger!

The entire time, I just wanted to give Luke a hug! Oh, I love the name Galen...dark-haired guy finally has a name! Yay! Aw, it's cute how caring he is XD Hm...those flashbacks sound like Luke used to be a LOT different... Oh, and I just noticed all the mentionings of water and then paired with the title, it makes an awesome contrast! I'm not sure if that was on purpose, or if I'm just nuts from too much English... Well, Knight might make a reappearance after Luke falls for Galen, telling Luke he's sorry he told him that and begging for him to come back, but Luke will say no and stay with Galen... Ya, I like that... Please continue this. It's... Touching.

I just love this story. The longing inside of Luke is so profound. His yearning to be held, and to be loved speaks to all of us, I think. It speaks clearly to me, it shows me a little piece of myself in the broken character that is Luke, the broken character longing for the perfection that was his lover. It says clearly that desires aren't fulfillments; just because you want something with all of your being does not mean that you will get it. It is a truth that we cannot deny, but it is a sad one nonetheless. Anyways, update soon.

I love Luke, you are very good at packing so much into a single character. I love the way you created a cloud that he carries around with him, the cloud that the broken umbrella can't prevent from raining down upon him. It is such a sad thing that he lives like that and keeps as much of himself for himself as he can. Anyways, I love the story so far, you are doing a great job, as always.

I love how you described the smileys in the snow and Luke's thoughts about the customer in the cafe, that was the best part with Knight's musical snow scene coming to a close second.
