Here's a tip for writing songs.
What you write need not be the way it would be sung. Sung songs are very repitious, of course, but that repetition can drain the emotion away when it's written down.
So strip it out for the written-down versions. Try doing away with the oo-oh-oo-ohs for the same reason. And I used a lot of variations in the choruses, even though I often do write down chorus repeats. Or my "chorus" is only one or two repeated lines per stanzas.
