| a silenced revolution chapter 1 . 3/10/2008
my favourite is the second stanza, something about fingering the rebellion in the air...
| Edgar Wellington chapter 1 . 3/10/2008
The day-dreamy nature of this poem is exquisite. It meanders from a day that wishes well, to raw shades, to rebellion in the air (that line adds great dimension to the poem, BTW, making me wonder if it is your personal internal rebellion of something larger), to cloud number nine...
Then we hit the final stanza, the heavy stanza, with more lines than the rest, and suddenly the thoughts are down-to-Earth, so to speak..
I think this is a well structured poem. Though I will admit that I missed the day-dreaminess toward the end. Maybe if you finish it back up there in the clouds I'd be happier... he he.
Unlike a surprising majority of poems here (including my own), to me this poem was worth reading.
