I really liked this a lot. It's very powerful and beautiful. I love d the descriptions and how you separated it into sections. The only thing the line "and her tear-ducts can't produce the tears" repeating tears seemed unnecessary, but other than that beautiful piece

Oh! I'm chuffed. Atonement? Beautiful. This is really a heart-wrenching poem. If I'd produced the emotion to write something like this, I'd have cried too. Kudos. I don't know what to say, it's just splendid in a very classic way. The theme, the words, everything...very WWII romance, but without the cliche. Or well, it's a cliche, but you write it so well it seems like an entirely new story. Gorgeous. I could go on praising, but you get the point :). Fantastic. Write more!

Aww, wow. I actually think this is the most beautiful thing I've ever read.
I noticed in the note at the bottom that it was partly inspired by love stories of WW2. I have to say it reminded me of the book Atonement by Ian McEwan, in the best possible way.
Excellent work. Keep it going!
