i like this one, i can most definitely relate. the flow of this piece is really good, and i love the simplicity. there is just the right amount of words and they're not built up to be something of grandeur, because the most effective poetry is simplistic and wholesome, at least in my opinion. bravo.

How do we know that anyone reasons,

Without to our heart committing treasons,-

Cruel words out-of-kilter for soul's seasons,

Is is too much to expect empathy,

When others disdain their self's sympathy,

Leaving us distraught in cacophany?

But somewhere there's a soothing voice of love,

That coos and woos like subtle turtledove,

In protected lee of a sheltered cove.

Loved the last line of the second stanza. It's like a kick in the face - very strong.
