Aw, what a cute story! I'm sitting here, in a near silent room with about ten other people, and trying not to laugh out loud at the cute hilarity of this. Instead, I'm grinning stupidly and who cares if anyone sees!

Ashley's determination is so strong that it makes her crush on Devon genuine. I mean, I'm not too familiar with stories with popular girls (assuming that she IS popular, head cheerleader and all) vying for those geeky guys, so I'm pretty sure this is the only story I've read with this scenario, albeit it's a short story. Makes it all the more sweet! Devon is so adorable! He made me remember my old chemistry lab partners, which one (Patrick) was not so geeky (lacrosse team and wore all those skate shoe brands) and had a not so secret crush on me, but the other (Connor) was so so so sweet and quiet (but not geeky, as he was on the wrestling team) and I ended up having a crush on him by the end of the year. Haha, but circumstances did not have me being captain of the cheerleading squad, much less a cheerleader at all, and he moved away after that year never to be seen again...sighs all around.

In any case, this story was fun to read, and written very well!

I like how feel-good this story is. :)

I think this might just be the very first original one-shot I read, ever. Or at least the first that isn't a 20.0 word monster. Really cute and adorable. Would like to see more of Devon and Ashley, though I'm guessing it's just hopeful wishing on my part, huh?

In any case, please do continue writing, longer stories like BBD and short and cute like this one.

Haha this is rather adorable. I was afraid it would be fricking CORNY since it's obviously the stereotypical popular-vs-unpopular crush scenario. But it worked, and you didn't make it completely lame and stereotypical. Nice job! :) I love how you went into details with the characters, making it seem realistic, like she was actually half-stalking him. Good job with this.
