Lyra chapter 1 . 6/17/2017
It's like a pilgrimage: every year I re-read this story at least once. I want to take the time to thank you with this few humble lines: your stories have done more for me than you could imagine. Not only the superb "Amor Vincit Omnia" ; I'm also talking about "Vox Vi", "Sonnets in My Gym Bag" and "Virgin Queen. " Especially the first three.

You introduced me to Shakespeare's poetry. You made me love the classics again. You made me see through my ever-present façade and finally open to reality: I like women. You, without knowing it, changed me for the better. You and all the bards that so selflessly create stories for us were the artist that began to sculpt the adult woman that I am now. And for that I will be grateful for all the years I will walk this Earth.

Thank you, Isobel. Thank you.

this was... brilliant, sweet, entertaining, funny (at points), sad (at times), scary (at others). it was well written and captivating, and i rarely, if ever, praise anyone so highly. i truly enjoyed this story and i will honestly say i wish it hadn't ended. oh, and the first thing i said to myself after i finished reading it was "aw, that's too sweet", and for once i wasn't being sarcastic. so, to sum up my rambling: you did amazingly on this.
zenshiki chapter 18 . 12/26/2013
Well written, well planned, well executed overall, a masterpiece. I love this story, thank you for sharing your awesome piece. :)
Artly chapter 18 . 8/28/2013
You really like to have your characters married with children huh? I guess that's the one thing I didn't like about this story. The ending was just too perfect and unrealistic to me. It came out of left field when the children came into play. It just didn't seem like a community like thiers would allow them to raise children when they barely allowed them to stay alive. It was just a big stretch too fast. That's just how I felt about it though.
I loved Sabina and Cerwin together and each of their personalities separately. They both had such defining chauracteristics that were a pleasure to read.
I loved the drama in this story. The climax was great when everyone stood up in the courtroom for Sabina. It was really exciting. The action was also very entertaining and you wrote it out well.
I really like Sabina's mother. I wish that she was in the story more. So I guess it's great that there's a sequel. : )

I wish FictionPress and Fanfiction dot net were one and the same and then I would login and sign this review properly.

I just wanted to say that I really like the premise and appreciate your obvious attention to Roman society and Latin language in this story.

Thanks for writing and I'm excited to have found it :)

Oh, and of course femslash was a must and M or T ratings are also a must; so thanks for that too ;D

Emiliana001: Thanks for the nifty history lesson. On the other hand, I suppose you missed the author's note that said this FICTION story is written in an "alternate timeline."
