![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, so sad! At least they died while asleep, content to be in each other's arms. But poor parents, she run away like that and that was the last memory with their daughter...I know I would be devastated if my daughter would do something like that! I'd want her to have us beside her when it will happen : Very interesting story and plausible. Thanks for sharing it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm still reeling from the impact of your story. I didn't actually read the author's note in the beginning (oops), but I caught on to the foreshadowings of death at the beginning of your story. At first, I thought that Jenna was the one who was dying, but when I realized that everyone was dying because of an apocalypse, my heart stopped beating for a moment. The entire concept of your story was so heartbreaking, because David and Jenna will never have a chance to explore what could have been. It was also slightly ironic- if it weren't for the apocalypse, David and Jenna probably wouldn't have even had that shared bonding moment. I feel like your story would have been more impactful, though, if you had expanded on the relationship between David and Jenna and maybe given us more scenes with them together. But I totally loved your story and the ending was heartbreakingly simplistic and just perfect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, truly an amazing read. You one-shot is very original and inspiring to me and probably other authors. I love the whole plot and the fact that you have readers guessing exactly what's going on until the end. I also love the interactions between David and Jenna. It was very sweet and satisfying. -dontneedyou |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow. freaky. but sweet and gorgeous |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was amazing! Just beautiful. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was...just beautiful! Stories with an overall melancholy tone can only catch my attention when they're exceptionally well-written, and this one definitely is. One-shots are sometimes hard, I think, because you have to really get your readers to connect with the characters in a short amount of time. I could definitely feel Jenna's hope that this end of the world scenario would just be a dream or a mistake, even though in the back of my head, like her, I knew it wasn't. Her time with David in the park helped, I think, with relieving some of the sadness of their situation while, at the same time, creating another heartache in the fact that they'll never really get to know each other. Poignantly perfect. I loved it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This writing was... amazing. Honestly. I loved every moment of reading this. It gives you a sense of feeling you can't exactly put your finger on and yet is so amazing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, this story is beautiful. I love how they managed to find peace in each other in the end, even if it was just a while. Well done. I can't find the words to describe it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh. Oh my. How very poignant, very sad and sweet. I hope we all find our Jennas and Davids before, well, however our ends turn out. Thank you for writing this, I love it. (I have my own lump in my throat, and the more I think about it the more my eyes tear up.) Thank you for letting them find each other, and giving them a little time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A beautiful and touching piece, I'm glad you've posted this. I guess I've always liked the end of the world stuff, too, come to think of it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() one of the best reads ever. so amazingly beautiful, especially for a one shot. love it. im overly sensitive. one of my greatest weaknesses/flaws. you guessed it...yup i cried. and hard. lol |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't even find words to express how beautiful this story is. I like how you put in subtle hints to imply the end of the world. Jenna and David are just so cute. ;] Thankyou for such a wonderful read. (: |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was so sweet and pretty...i just really enjoyed it. Sure, it was sad, but they were happy when they were together. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was kinda depressing, but awesome at the same time. There was just enough back story for each of the characters so that the reader wasn't lost, but not so much that your story became too wordy. It was short and sweet and I loved it. So thanks! |
![]() ![]() ![]() End of the world books/movies? Hmm. Wonderfully done. I liked this one quite a bit. Yay for letting us read it. :) Love Elodie~ |
