Reviews for A Rosie by Any Other Name
rainfaery13 chapter 2 . 6/6/2008
I really like this, it's interesting to read it from the other side. I hate stereotyping(and both groups do it)... especially since I've known many "preppy" people and I generally haven't known them to treat me badly. So kudos to you for making a story that shows that the sides don't have to be pitted against each other and that it's about getting to know each person before making those snap judgements...but yeah i like the characterization in this story, how rosie isn't bad, bt that doesn't mean she's little miss saint can't do anything wrong! I hate those characters, it's like if your human your not all good! yeah so umm yeah keep up the good work :D
Endowment's Seraph chapter 2 . 6/6/2008
this is really good. I don't hate cheerleaders, I would but my sister was a cheerleader in high school. only for three years then she quite cuz she hated the varsity coach. but she's not the sterio typical cheerleader. she had some friends that were nice like her, and some squad mates that weren't. maybe it was just the high school we went to. who knows. she's a psycology major at CSU now, she'll graduate in a semester or two. so don't worry about the cheerleader aspect. I'm glad someone is presenting a different point of view. I always have to defend the cheerleader steriotype because of my sister. I can't wait to read more

Jevanminx chapter 2 . 6/6/2008
I love it, her attitude is amazing. Hehehehe so cool.

Lady Katreina chapter 1 . 5/26/2008
I like this story, and I don't hate cheerleaders, I don't think anyone hates cheerleaders- just bi- er... I mean witchy ones. I've got a couple friends who would like to be cheerleaders but our school doesn't have a gathering of them. (The cool people are in sports, was that way for my mom's school too... hm...)

Anyways, I like Rosie, she's the white sheep in a family of black ones so-to-speak and I am happy that you made her and started this story. Thank you!
Amaguq chapter 1 . 5/26/2008
OMG CHEERLEADERS! Give me a Y! Give me an A! Give me a Y! YAY! Anywho...I like your brand spankin' new story! I feel so sorry for Rose - I mean Rosie. Poor girl! I can't wait to meet her family, and I have a feeling Ivy will be my favorite character. GO KICKBUTT GOTH! GO! To many freakin' exclamation points!

Wait a tick? Do you know this is Brittany?

Sally Can Wait chapter 1 . 5/25/2008
I quite like it so far, actually. I'm not sure how it is at other places, but where I go to school, some of the cheerleaders are rude and ditzy... but a good chunk of them are incredibly charismatic and intelligent, and I kind of get the feeling that people really are just jealous of them when they call them mean. This story should be interesting. Update soon. :D

AK the Twilight chapter 1 . 5/25/2008
Talk about a tall glass of water. This is refreshingly unique; I've read stories about the typical goth girl in the upbeat lifestyle and family, but this is a serious 180. Rosie apparently has some family disputes and her attitude is plenty original, despite her assumed upbringing.

Your descriptions are smooth and the whole story feels real and tangible. It's like a good teen novel seen these days.

I must say that this is looking to be one of the most original stories I've seen in a while (and trust me, that's quite a bit) and I'm really eager to see how Rosie approaches her new position as a cheerleader. Excellent job, and good luck on future work on this exceptional and potential-filled project.
