Oh my god, that was adorable.

Alright, I know I've been reviewing a bunch of your things lately and fav'ing stuff too, but I just can't stop myself. And you need to know how much I appreciate your work! I mean, so many other people do too but they just haven't all reviewed with their own thoughts.

Olive's character was so original and genuine and cute and I swear, I wish I was her! She had these quirky little phrases that fit in with her character so perfectly and I could understand Sheridan – or any character – being interested in her. I loved her playing with the shakers in the beginning, especially when you inserted subtle things such as her hands reaching back for them after a pause in their conversation or when she blushed at him pointing it out but still confidently going, "Pfftt, yeah!" like she didn't even mind being embarrassed.

And Sheridan was so endearing. Especially his fixation with staring at her lips, and then her eyes and then being proud of himself for being able to do those two things while still paying attention to whatever she was saying. I loved how gradual the buildup to his feelings came. Like, he sounded so sure he wasn't lusting after her lips or anything but then just gave in like, it is what it is. Definitely cute how he says his cousin must be gay to not be as distracted by her lips as he is.

Anyway, their kisses were hot and wonderful and so great to read. I love at the end where his explanation starts off so simply and sincerely with, "I just wanted to be your friend." Everything just felt so real and genuine and something I would love to experience myself.

You write so well. I love it – and I'm sorry it might seem that word has lost all meaning with the many times you've heard it from me in such a short amount of time. But it's also late and I'm tired and I've been sick the past 48 hours so my brain isn't as up to speed.

Sigh, another story I absolutely must favorite so I can reread it again in the future! Thank you!

Can I just say I am SO glad that I found this? This has to be one of the best one-shots I've ever read, and it's even from the perspective of a guy (I usually only read stories from a girl's POV, because hey, I am one). Olive makes me laugh and I love her jokes ("I don't appreciate your cheek!" xD) and her personality and I love Sheridan's valiant struggle against those compelling lips of hers. This is just made of awesome-sauce! :D

Aw. I love how it begins and ends with the gum. And the point it makes. And the "okay then" and her lips and his cheek. His cheek and her sense of humour especially. maybe his cheek a bit more. 'Cause I APPRECIATE it! buahhaha..

It's spastic. Fantastic... You know, once you start writing those words that end at "tic" you just can't stop it!
