Wow. Just wow. I love this sequel. Hell, I love the whole series. You are an amazing writer; don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I got so wrapped up in the Alex/Tyler series that I read Slim Pickings... in one day. I didn't even take breaks; it was kinda pathetic on my part.

At first, I must admit I had my doubts. I kinda agree with Charlie Hazel; it was a lil too fast at first. However, once I got into it, I was hooked. I loved the character developments, the actual characters, the drama, the heartbreak. I loved it all. I think I may have even let out a few tears here and there.

The sequel is far from disappointing too. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next chapter. I can't believe Alex hid his past though. Idk I guess, I feel it a bit unnecessary on his part, but it's just another spicy addition to the drama. :B

So to summarize my rambling, I love your writing, and I really do hope you finish the series. It'd truly be heartbreaking to not find out what happens to Alex and Tyler.

hello there. i just wanted to say that i think the plot you have going so far is really good and that the characters are also only two steps short of amazing (even though some of them severely piss me off... but that's okay.) but there are just a few things that i think you can work on to make it better.

okay, i'm going back to the first one since this review is going to comprise of the two stories critiques. i really did like the first one but i felt like it went a little too fast in the beginning. i got a little confused at some points because of the fact that we had just met the narrator and then all of a sudden this random guy was making out with him and i wasn't really sure if i had missed something or not. plus, the whole deal thing in general was a bit like selling your soul to the devil, so possibly think of having more of an internal torment about whether or not he should do it.

the flow of the story worked really well and i was really into it. it's a good piece. i like the character development that happened between them and i kind of liked the fact that tyler seemed to magically grow a heart... it was like the grinch all over again. haha. :D

now onto this story. i'm liking where this is going so far even though i almost slighty (maybe not) feel bad for alex... i'm not sure yet. the whole hiding the past thing was a really nice touch that added a little bit of extra oomph into the story. that was really good.

all i can say about this one so far is that you still need to watch which buttons your pressing and if your mind is working too fast than your hands can keep up with. that happens to me all of the time. but it's just the fact that it takes away from the reader actually being IN the story when they hit a roadbump like that and can't figure out what's really going on anymore. you're doing much better in this one than in the last one, but it is still something to watch out for.

other than that... i think that this is a really good story and i'm looking forward to the next chapters... which would be greatly appreciated in a short amount of time. (*winks*) i hope this was helpful to you in some form or another.

I can't wait to find out if Tyler took the money out of the account so that Alex would have to come to him for help. Its kinda sick, but he's desperate. I wonder if Alex will tell Clayton everything now or what? Its so sad about Kayla! My uncle Mike has stomach cancer and has been fighting it for the last five years. Its progressed to stage four and has spread through out his whole body. The doctors don't give him that long to live, but doctors don't know anything. His mom fought cancer for 16 years before she died so who knows how long he's got?
