The real turn-off was when Chris hit Lauren and she just let it go, same as others.
Really spoiled the impression for me. The rest is a good piece of work

i liked the story except for the ending which was so bland..didn't give me any fuzzy feeling which almost all ur short stories and one-shots do...wanted Zack,so happy he's the One!

Let's not talk about the plot because I'm pretty sure that we know I don't like the ending. I suppose it isn't so bad now that Jarred approves. But still, I think Jarred and Lauren would have been cute.
Although the ending/outcome wasn't my cup of tea, your writing is amazing. I found myself flying through the chapters even as I'm practically half asleep. It's amazingly written. I felt as if I were there, hearing Zack agree to the plan to seeing Lauren cry as she noticed her true love. It was a great read in some way. :)

THIS is why I don't read love triangle, square, pentago, etc. I'm always for the original couple and the original couple is not Lauren and Zack. It's Lauren and Jarred. Holy freak. They're not going to end up together and I'm freaking out. Ugh.

The drama has started! I'm starting to get really sad that the whole story is only 6 chapters long. I'm sure it's something I'd really enjoy since I absolutely love fluff. I still don't get who number five is though.

Hey, girl! Just here to let you know that Damage Control has been added to ADoR under the Love Triangle category! Here's your review:

Melissa Thinks: This was definitely not a story I was expecting to enjoy. The summary, although clear now that I've actually read the story, seemed confusing and I wasn't quite sure what the story was actually about (except for that it was obviously some kind of complicated love... pentagon?). So let me clear that up for anyone else who's struggling: Lauren is in love with her best friend Jarred, who's dating Elena. In order to try and get Jarred's attention, Lauren asks (kinda more like forces) Zack to pretend to be her boyfriend; that is where the story really begins.

I just found this story captivating. The plot is classic FP material, but it's just too adorable not to love. It's short, only six chapters long, so it's good for those who want something quick, but aren't really up for a one shot. I like Mad for Fig's writing because it's simple and funny, but has a concise voice. I didn't find the dialogue to be stiff at all, and the interactions between the main couple gave me warm fuzzies every time. I ended up closing my laptop with a giant smile on my face because I'm pretty positive I fell in love with Damage Control.

Hi there! I just found this story on ADOR and really enjoyed it! I liked how few characters there were; since this was a short story, I think with anymore it would have gotten a little too confusing. You kept the storyline simple enough that I didn't get confused (as I sometimes do with stories where A falls in love with B, B loves C, C loves D, D is with B, etc), but it kept me engaged (I sat and read the whole thing in one sitting!) I think Jarrod's reaction to the situation might have been a little unrealistic since he was kind of like "yeah, okay, whatever", but with the pace of your story it worked. Even though the last chapter was short, it was a sweet ending for the entire story. And the fact that there is a one-shot related to this story is awesome since I liked Dale and Chris :)

Ohmygod. I actually geared up by Lauren's confession. Seriously. Gaaah. I really love your story. Yes, it's clichè but it's undeniably awesome in its own way. It really really did touch my heart.

Initially, I was kinda scared what Jarred may do once he finds out the whole jealousy thing. So imagine my relief when he took it so so well. The friendship interlaced between all of them is so wonderful. They really do care for each other. Although Chris has gone over the top. Lol. I'm actually surprised he ACTUALLY hit Lauren. Truthfully, I never saw his threat as something serious so I was shocked. XD

Anyway, you have a way with words and I absolutely enjoyed your work. A marvelous story, indeed. Thank you very much for the good read.
