So much fun! So much intrigue! So much DRAMA! This is a wonderful story. I love these two together and how they care so very much about each other. I think the part that stood out the very most in this book when Kieran suggested and then submitted to flogging. Brilliant on his part (though really almost everything he does is brilliant), so noble, and even more, loyal toward Edouard. You really are a gifted writer. I admire your ability to write such gripping, clean, and focused tails of adventure and 'growth'. My hat is way off to you. _

The marriage issue is quite the dilemma though, isn't it? Well, I have faith that you will come up with something clever. Perhaps artificial insemination by magic? Ok, well that may be a little far-fetched. But a nice thought. Perhaps a witty noblewoman who has a preference for other women and is perfectly happy with the situation? Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and find out! Like I said, I have faith that things will work out. Edouard and Kieran are obviously meant to be together.

I must say, I find it tedious and somewhat disheartening that even "good" wizards like Lady Divwall and Lord Gavilan are constantly questioning Kieran's motives and supposed "rogue" status. I just don't understand it. It seems like most wizards (even the "good" ones) seems to apply the term "rogue" to anyone with power greater than their own. It makes me worry for Kieran, which I suppose is the point. But still. Sometimes I just want to smack Divwall around. She's supposed to be one of the good guys! She should be sticking up for Kieran! Poor guy.

after reading this story, i can only say i will be looking forward to a sequel, if you ever decide to write one. i am really hoping you do actually, or at least do a series of vignettes of edouard and kieran's life post-'the royal wizard'.

what i really liked about this story though was that you didn't necessarily have to read 'the wizard of bright isle' to appreciate this, thanks to the way you wove in the backstory really well yet subtly enough.

I just read both stories, They are both great, I was beginning to fear there would be no movement in their physical relationship. I was delighted to read the end.

I must express my hope for a sequel, because, well the ending with Colwyn could work as an excellent segue into the sequel.

And I would love to see what developments will happen with Kieran and Edouard, their relationship was such a refreshing read!

But I would also love to see what happens with Asita and Colwyn and Tank as an instructor.

All in all It is a truly delightful series!

Finally, Kieran makes the move. i was wishing it was much more earlier.
