Wow. Great story, even unfinished. All the characters feel so real to me. The honesty of Neil is wonderful and I wish I knew more about his past - lovers, parents.

Nathan's inability to let go of Sam is so deep and so raw and so real. I feel his pain. Torn between knowing you need to let go for your own sanity and just feeling like you really don't want to. I've been there.

i still re-read this every time i look into my bookmarks and it still affects me as if it's the first time I've read it. And even though it's wonderful just as it is I can't help going nuts thinking about the ending.
But well what i wanted to say was thanks anyway for leaving this posted up. You may or may not see this comment, but thank you. Its one of my favorites.

I adore the story, especially the characters. There's something about Nathan that seems sort of melancholy, partially due to losing Sam but also for another unknown reason. It's quite nice because, although he is an anti-social, awkward photographer, he's not portrayed as one of those incessantly moody creative people who purposefully lock away society in order to brood artistically for the rest of their lives. I hope you get what I mean.

It's a pity that this story is incomplete, I think it would have had a beautiful, though slightly melancholy, end.

I was wondering what's the age gap for Than and Neil? (I don't remember if you said it before).
I like the name Neil, you don't see it very often.

I like the narrative of this story, the way it mentions things in the future, as if this is nothing but a recollection, a memory. And at the same time it feels like the present.

I hope you haven't abandoned this story. :) Waiting for you to continue it

This really caught my attention. The age gap and relationship between Than and Ewan reminds me of Super Lovers. Awesome manga if you've never heard of it.

Brilliant story. Love how you showed the slump Nathan was in and how he slowly changed for the better due to Neil and Ewen. The bits about Sam was intriguing and heartbreaking all at once. Reading about Nathan and Neil trying to build their relationship -especially when Nathan still couldn't forget about Sam- was somewhat painful, yet I can't look away. Please update. I would love to see where this story goes.

Your story really drew me in, I liked it a lot. The end left me a bit unsatisfied, I would have wished it stopped a little bit (or a while ?) later. But well, it's not really for me to decide of course, so... And, as I said I liked it anyway...
