I like the idea of the plot, the first chapter seems a bit force though. I know you want to characterize him as being especially mean and self-absorbed, but I've found that the meanest people are either so self absorbed that they don't realize or care that they're being cruel or they get pleasure from bringing others down, especially in front of an audience. I guess what I'm saying is that being vitriolic wouldn't make him think he could order Death to listen to him. Maybe it was just me, but it was a very odd encounter to read.

I work in a hospital, so I've seen plenty of people be faced with death. Most people react with helplessness or sorrow, but there are plenty of people who react with anger. I think the sequence in the first chapter would feel more natural if there was an element of "I don't deserve this" and fear driving his angered responses

This was amazing. I have no other words. I stayed up until 5 AM and read the entire thing in one shot. I put on Leave Out All The Rest while reading the epilogue and started crying. This was one of the most moving stories I have ever read. It doesn't seem as though you're on this site anymore, but you are so talented. Thank you.

There is a potential in this story it ju st think that things move so fast from o ne thing to another. There are fantasy t hat is also believable or realistic but yours is not convincing. I like adrean a md glenn but i find them both weak. This story is good but need twiking...
