Despite this being 18K, this is the best story I've read on FP, regarding world war 2. I think about your story so often (ever since discovering it in 2013), I'm even going to the cinema to watch Suite Francaise, starring Michelle Williams because it is set in this turbulent period. I am your biggest fan, so if you reply, I think I'll be so happy O.o

Exceptional writing, breathtaking characters, literature that makes me FEEL. Can you ask for any more?

Ahhh, I love this story so much. "No beard wonder." I like how the characters are portrayed as humans. The Nazi talking about his daughter, the beardless boy having his first smoke, a love triangle, etc. Great job! I hope to read more!

I miss this story sooo much...
This is single-handedly one of the best stories on FP, hands down. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's definitely the best story on here, regarding the time period it's set in. I know college is a killer, but I read on your profile, you felt super duper inspired, and how you had 24 chapters planned...sleep on those chapters. Dream about them. Then put pen to paper. If mistakes are made, try again. But I'm not forcing you to do anything, because I know how these things work, therefore I can only wish you luck.

Please tell us if you've decided to abandon this story or not.. so that the little bit of hope I have about this story can be put to rest! Or if you have it published somewhere please direct us to it! I'd read this a while ago but it still continues to run across my mind every so often. Your characterizations are wonderfully done, Lilia's internal dialogue is so fun to read. I hold out a faint hope that someday I'll be able to read more! :)

This is really well-written! I especially love your characterization. You do a good job with the MC and her various, complicated relationships. With Simone, I can't help but love and hate her at once. Man, poor Dominique. Too bad we don't get to see much of his character. I'm excited to see what happens next now that she's gotten her assignment!
