| Mrs. Robinson chapter 1 . 10/12/2009
You and me both, sweetheart.
| Amarone chapter 1 . 8/29/2008
Heartbreaking. It reminds me of the sadness surrounding those who are trying to lose weight, you know, that to lose weight will gain the boys' attention and your mom's praise and your dad's pride, etc. Your piece portrays a sense of disgust in the first stanza - you look at yourself, shaking your head in disgust as you 'pull of the inches and pounds' - second stanza is like your dream, and then the third stanza simply shatters the dream, telling yourself that it's never going to happen, a sense of bitterness, and possibly, regret. The point is driven home, well done.
