What a surprisingly and well deserved tender chapter. I'm glad that they have both finally acknowledged their feelings for each other and that many questions were answered.

Dude, do you REALIZE how that this story not only kills hourse in my day, but somewhat informs me about psycology?

2-in-1 as i like to say!

Allow me to put forth a polite request: there are people that are badly triggered by nonconsensual sex, people that are hurt by reading about it, that have bad psychological reactions. So it would be very kind of you to warn when you launch with no warning into a violent rape scene.

Although the whole 'he's pretty much a vampire in every which way but I'll call him a different name to make it unique' was a little eyeroll worthy, out of all the stories on Fictionpress, I wasn't expecting this one - which had so far been engaging, tense, amusing and actually fairly appealing in terms of non-skeevy relationships - to take this turn.

First you have him brutally, violently attack and rape her, then you have him physically threaten her and verbally abuse her, and after presenting us with a character that has violated, assaulted and *totally fucking brutalized* a defenseless and terrified young woman under his complete power, you expect us to...what, sympathize with him? Just passively swallow it when they pretty much act like everything is normal and he's just pulled one of his average asshole moves? Consider him an even remotely salvageable character? I read further out of sheer incredulity, and got to the part where you actually try to JUSTIFY it because she 'might not have agreed' and 'it had to be done' and Jesus fucking Christ, the sheer trivializing of this hideous violation makes me nauseous. A rape or even just physical assault can adversely affect a woman psychologically for years after, if not the rest of her life.

"Yeah, I figured you'd say no so I just cut to the chase and raped you, because har-har, silly little woman, you don't actually get to decide what happens to *your own fucking body*!"

"Okay!"

"And by the way, despite the fact that you are a recent victim of horrible trauma and therefore need not only to be examined by a doctor but also to be given extensive therapy and support, I'm going to be wanting sexual favours again soon!"

No. He does not deserve a ~second chance~. This story is like a hideous Stockholm Syndrome parody that you are, for some horrible and inexplicable reason, taking seriously. But you did get one thing spot on: most rapes are perpetrated by people close to the victim, and women often respond in very unhealthy ways, such as internalizing the trauma, even blaming themselves or trying to justify it so they won't have to face what happened to them!

Well, uh, as you may have deduced, I'm dropping this story like a hot potato.

Oh, the anguish! The torture!

Poor guys. I feel so bad for them.

It's impossible not to cry reading this chapter.

It's heart-breaking and absolutely wonderful.

Now I'm dying to know the story's conclusion.

I haven't read a lot of stories under the Supernatural category, but I am very thankful that I found yours. Your plot, characters and writing style is so engaging that I simply can't get enough! Consequently I have squandered a couple of days of exam revision. Whoopsie. I can't wait to read more!

I really wanted to let you know that I just found this story a few days ago and have been unable to stop reading it! Your character development is incredible/ believable. You do a great job at revealing the complexity and progression of the character's emotions. Fantastic writing, with such an enthralling plot.. this story is truly delicious. I honestly feel stressed out reading it, and agonizing over what will become of Alma and her demon. Also, the brutal honesty that manifests itself in this story is a rare find for me. Well done, and please keep writing!

Absolutely beautiful

This story is so emotionally draining to read, but I think that's what I love about it. Half the time, I'm completely confused and I adore process of thinking over their actions and questioning why they did it. Thank you for another great chapter.

This chapter answered a lot of my questions, thank you :3. I enjoyed this chapter very much, the ending was very nice, I don't know if I should call it sweet (even though it is) due to the sadness in it. But it makes me happy either way, I'm glad Illias was able to tell her what he feels and everything. I especially liked the segment where he told her everything he thinks about, that was nicely written. I can't wait to see how everything turns out and I hope the next chapter comes out soon :3.

Just so you know, I am really enjoying your story but there are a couple of things about it which nag at me.

Firstly, you have a lot of grammatical errors in terms of past/present/future tense which are distracting. Also, you use words completely out of context often - I know which word you mean, but you might benefit from a proof reader who can go through and fix up these things. They are little, but it would make a difference!

Oh, one last thing - you keep using the word 'flaccid' in the sex scenes. Flaccid is a word with quite negative connotations and doesn't really fit in the context you are using it, though it does actually mean what you are intending it to... it just sounds kind of out of place.

I really am enjoying your story though!

Oh yes this chapter was satisfying to read! It was bliss! Finally a (semi) happy moment for them. I was actually really shocked by all the declarations of love and all that Illias did for her. I officially love him 100 percent now, because i loved him a lot before but i never understood the horrific things he sometimes said or did. Thats one of my favourite scenes so far, it definately cleared up things and it was so nice to know what Illias was thinking.

Hmm im wondering whats going to happen with Ser now, because Alma is now longer a threat, which i have to say was quite a cool twist.
