I read this story in one setting and am so sad to see it go (I have one more chapter, but just had to shout this review from the rooftops!). Your characters are created (and destroyed) flawlessly - from the main characters that make your heart race in tandem with theirs to the minuscule ones that tie up all of the loose ends. I am so impressed with the way Alma is penned as the heroine: sometimes you find a female lead poorly constructed and never develops, but this wasn't the case with Alma (nor any other characters). I'm sure I'll be reading this story again within the next few months (once I dry my tears of joy and still my beating heart!), so if you see another review like this I promise I'm not amnesiatic! I truly thought I was going to have to settle and be complacent with Warren being with her, then Cillian and his broodily foreshadowing self shows up and I'm a mess of tears and premature hope!

Congrats, even though it's belated, on the completion of this story; I can only imagine how draining it was to get all 45 chapters out of that brain (I can barely manage a one shot in one setting!).

Wow. I read this in one sitting and was beyond impressed. It was fascinating to watch your writing improve over the course of the story. Most importantly, the character development was captivating and something so rare yet refreshing on this site. Thanks for writing this tale and sharing it with all of us. It was a truly great read and definitely will be one of my favorites.

So, its 12.30am and for the third night in a row I have stayed up well past my bedtime reading the delicious literary work that is Follies. I almost want to say it was one the most gripping stories I have read, but that word is so over-used by critics on the back of book jackets that I just couldn't. Instead what I will say is that Follies has been an emotional rollercoaster. Truly, you have sparked fear, anger, hope, sadness and love not to mention a host of other uncertain emotions in me throughout the novel and damn if I haven't loved every second of it. That chapter right after Alma returned to earth...I cried so hard I couldn't read the words and had to stop. And then when Cillian came back into the picture, I'm ashamed to say I skimmed ahead just to find when (or if) Illias' name cropped up. And then...HE DID. I cried tears of relief at that point! I was so afraid you were going to be as ruthless as Ser and not give the two a happy ending. As much as Warren was generic and likeable, once 'meeting' Illias, he could never compare.
Thank you so much for persevering with this story. I have only just come across it because I refuse to read incomplete stories - the moment when you come up the chapter they have unfinished just breaks my heart - and so while this review may be delayed, I love it just the same! Follies has been one of those stories that has truly grabbed me and thrust me along the ride, as if I was really there. I am an avid reader, so I have covered a lot of material round here, and this has got to be one of my faavourites. I utterly agree with your distaste on the amount of superfluous vampires/werewolf novels, and the lack of range in the supernatural genre. Your dedication to your characters is obvious from the way you have crafted their development over the story, which is so fulfilling to read!
I feel like I have rambled on for far too long, but considering this is the only chapter I have, and will, review on, I had to make a it a good one.
Your writing is enthralling, and Follies has been an intense immersion into the supernatural world, so thank you so much for sharing Alma and Illias and even Ser with us all.

This story was f*cking beautiful, I am in awe of your writing skills. This story was everything a story should be gripping, heartbreaking, sweet, and more. I started reading this yesterday and could not walk away - at all. Just thank you for this story, it has been a wonderful journey with these characters.

Your story is wonderfully writte, beautifully scripted and everything else in between. I loved the relationship between Illias and Alma, even though I really hated Alma's passivity earlier on in the story. I like how it was your own take on a supernatural theme - everything was so complex, and yet you made it work and flow seemlessly, despite all the information you threw at us. The concepts of the demons and angels was unique. As a person who doesn't really enjoy crazy supernatural stories, I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for changing my mind D

The sex scenes were really hot and steamy :P. It induced a warmth in me when I was reading it. I was reading this in bed and had to keep moving around just to find a cool spot!

My favourite character would have to be Illias. I don't know why but I was always drawn to him. The way you depicted him - as a strong and handsome man who doesn't show his emotions well but cares very much for those he loves, the man who has been defeated because of his past life and acts cold so he won't be attached - really drew me in. I have the hots for Illias ;P

Of course, there are some grammatical and spelling errors, but we're only human right?

Will you write a story about the future of Illiah and Alma?

I would like to let you know that very few stories grab my emotions and this one has done just that. Reading this chapter I actually cried. You have a gift.

I LOVED THIS STORY! It was written so unbelievely well. All the loose ends were tied up at the end too. I loved that the main character questions life, death, heaven and hell, god ,the devil, demons and angels even more than I do. And I was wondering if you would bring Illias back, I don't like Warren.

I found this story kind of late, but I totally just ugly cried too.
Especially when Illias came back. I knew he would! And if he didn't, I would have been one depressed fan.

So...
I've been reading this story for the past three days...I really don't know what to do with my life now...
And it's 4:23 AM...guess I'll sleep lol.

At the end I was like: "Please, let him be alive, I so want him to be alive!", I must confess you had me doubting he would be, but when Cillian appeared I was sure (and kind of relieved) he would be. After all their suffering they deserved to be happy together.

Haiz, i have to stop reading this story here. Illias just raped her and i was hoping there's gonna be some sort of retribution in the next following chapters or so. I don't care if Alma loves or lusts for him or not. What he did was still rape and there's no way she could forgive him for such a traumatic thing. I mean, i don't know, i just feel so disgusted...
