Dude. Using your mouth to draw any type of liquid from a pipette is basically laboratory taboo. Who knows what kind of chemicals you could accidentally ingest by doing so?

That aside, this was cute. :)

Using your mouth to draw up liquid from a pipette is BAD chemistry technique. They're always careful to remind us not to do that in lab, but I thought it was just a safety precaution. I was much surprised to read characters actually doing it in a class as standard procedure.

Hey, I really like your story, though it's really a waste for it to be a one shot. I think it could easily have been a longer story if you were to develop it. And your summary is really interesting and left me thinking - how would dissecting a rat mesmerize someone? The part about using the chemical symbols in the message is simply so sweet and heartwarming!
