No one can truly say what they would do in a situation like this until they've been through it. We like to think of ourselves as good people, but we have a self-preserving nature that tends to take over in desperate circumstances. Some people have the will power to let themselves die, but others don't, and I don't think it's fair to condemn those who don't as hypocrites and cowards when they're merely acting on their natural survival instincts.

That being said, though, this is quite a well-written fic. Perhaps a little cliche and awkward at parts, but it presents a nice idea, and I really love this line: "If you don't have anything worth dying for, you've got nothing worth living for." Survival instincts aside, that is very true.

Not too long ago, I would've said no. But I've just recently found Christ, and from that second I knew I would die for him.

Wow! that was breathtaking. Truthfully, I hope I would do what Julie did and I think I would but its also one of those questions you can't know the true answer to until it happens. Great job capturing the fear and also the essence of the Spirt around you.

WOAH! This story gave me cold shivers. I was so scared the enitre time! It was so convincing... I was so sure that at any moment they would start shooting. This was a magnificent piece. :)
