Admittedly, it wasn't hard to guess where it was going, or that Sullivan would find her at the park, but the way you took us there was enjoyable. I loved the beginning part with the dog. I seriously wish more stories on this site had dogs in them, but that's kind of off topic. Sullivan was cute and sweet, and Nicole seemed down to earth, the kind of girl I can relate to. So overall this was definitely something I'm glad I read. Oh, and I think I'm in love with the name Sullivan now. |

You know, I read somewhere once that a short story is complete when the reader is satisfied, and they don't feel a need to know what else happened to the character. I absolutely disagree. I think a short story has succeeded when not only want to know what happened, but you're stuck thinking about it, imagining what you think might have happened. You're really good at creating mood and tone, something I envy. I think it's hard to do that really well. You're very talented, and I'm going to read more of your work. Adding this to faves, for sure. :) |
