Reviews for The Nightmare Of Heaven |

![]() ![]() ![]() I quite enjoyed this, even if it was a little short. The ending, in particular, was quite striking. I'd have preferred a better narrative from the boy. It felt like the abuse he suffered wasn't real because there was no real detailed description of how he felt. You also have a habit of telling, rather than showing. I probably wouldn't place this under the horror category either. Probably fits better elsewhere. Overall though, pretty touching (: |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was...great.. Dude, this was incredibly well written! I'm surprised you don't have like a ton of reviews on this. I loved the ending and I felt grief for the poor kid. I also felt annoyed for the mom for being so oblivious! If I was that kid I'd call the cops on that sonuva- Anyway, great read! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautifully written. I'm particularly fond of; 'Even I, who had been through hell at the hands of this man, would not deny him his dieing words.' I loved it, and you covered the aspects of child abuse; but in a way I've never seen before. Props to you my friend, props to you. ~Fantasy |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is very believable, almost like an autobiographical work. It's also very sad; you've covered the topic of child abuse very well. The ending is unique; I liked how you didn't just end it with "child is beaten, child dies, omg so sad" and instead gave it a thoughtful plot all the way through. Most of all though, I loved the idea of the last line and how it tied into the title. Fantastic job. (: |
![]() ![]() ![]() 'Kay:) This story is sad:(, but greatly written:)! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was wonderfully written. It captured the innocence and trusting of a child, and how easily it could be ripped apart. How one mistake can change not only one life, but others. I love how you potrayed this in such a way that the fantasy of heaven had been ruined. Though I somehow doubt his father would end up Heaven (well, God forgives all, but.) I see why he would be scared of such a Heaven. Great job. Keep it up. Signed, Her Tragedy. |
