This is rather creepy for a number of reasons.

Wa, this is brilliant. Everyone praises Austen for being such a brilliant writer, but honestly, I thought all of her characters had cricket bats up their butts. You took the same setting and the same society and turned it on its head. All of your characters are believable and fleshed out. I mean, sorry to make another Austen analogy, but Caroline was a hateful, wholly unredeemable woman, while Abigail has earned my respect. So, I love it, please write more, even if its like a four line epilogue, because it is honestly very pleasing to me to read your work.

Hooked, absolutely hooked. I love the Austen-esque writing with female characters that have backbone and personality and male characters that can appreciate such traits. Also, I like that your period speech style isn't overdone and it's consistent. So many people try way too hard with lots of 'doth' and 'tis' and it kills me! I know that this is good because it gives me that same "time jealousy" where I'm so pissed I live in 2009 instead of 1809. Keep up the good work!

I would just like to let you know that after reading the first 2 chapters of your story I am completely enthralled and it seems like it is going to be a very enjoyable story. I will probably not review every chapter but that is only as I am to eager to get to the next one. I will however write a long and detailed review when I get to the end of the chpaters already up.
