This gives me some new insight into Mikey's mom, as well as Mikey. His denial never did make much sense to me, since the logical progression is that Jude was lying to him about the invisible people for years. Poor guy. And poor mom! Of course she worried about how he'd manage to hold a job and support himself!

And yes, you have me VERY intrigued about what Mikey was looking at on the net!

Oh, and very good ending... "warm and reassuring like my own mother’s never was". I love Jude. He's so very matter-of-fact about it all, never any self pity. Never any interest in being "normal" either, which I adore!

I like the exploration of Mikey's character and how you present Mikey's Mom. She may be a little unrealistic flexibility wise, but I guess she has been through a lot with Mikey. Jude’s interaction was also interesting to see. (On a fun note: I have a new country).

I kind of want to smack Ion across the back of the head even though he's making me laugh at the same time. I can't tell if he's trying to expand Jude's comfort zone because he thinks it's funny, because he actually wants Jude to be more comfortable talking about sex, or because he's being passive aggressive about Jude not being comfortable with him. Any of those three reasons-or a combination, really-makes perfect sense, and I don't have a problem with the characterization...it just makes me wonder about his motivations.

I loved the interactions between Finn's brothers. They were so real, and very sibling-like, and I liked that Jonas was being a dick in such a brotherly way. XD I'm also now a Mitch fan, even if he never shows up again.

Also, heh. Statistically gay. XD You win the dialogue prize of the day for that little interaction.
