For some reason, the treatment of Todd (great name by the way) was totally the highlight of this chapter for me. First:

"Okay, what the fuck?" the man asked impatiently.

I pulled out my stun gun and shot him in the chest. He was ruining the moment.

And then:

Wiley gave him a surreptitious kick under the table to help him the rest of the way into consciousness.

Not to mention:

“So, torture. That’s still immoral, right? Anyone know if we have some secret medieval dungeon for this kind of situation?”

Basically, I was laughing the entire time. Also, toasters. XD I kind of hope he becomes a reoccurring character just because of the toasters.

And Mikey and Finn were adorable and wonderful and I can't wait until they start talking more.

Anyway, the "afraid of toasters"-part made me giggle. So did a lot of lines in this chapter, actually. And I'm so glad on behalf of Mikey & Finn.

i don't know how long i've been waiting for mikey to finally see finn. this chapter just made my week. or month. or something. i love it. and jude may just be my new hero for his handling of the situation. if only i had a stun gun for every time someone ruined a moment. XD

I like Todd. He's dumb, but funny. And he seems to know when getting pissed off will get him nowhere, so hey, not so dumb after all!

Seriously... I LOVE Mikey seeing Finn! And does Mikey perhaps have more invested in this relationship than we previously realised? He seems awfully clingy, considering he only just "met" Finn. Which is good, because ambivalence or indifference would hardly be a good exchange for Finn's years of devotion!

Why smell? Well, you describe things in smell a lot, which is good, since it's an important sense in how humans react, but Jude just seems to have a good nose. (Maybe this is because I have a terrible nose?)

This is a really, really great story. I don't usually read WIPs because it breaks my heart if they get abandoned, but I have faith in you!

I love how complete and detailed your world building is. It's entirely plausible, and the supernatural details are absolutely enthralling. I started reading it last night, and I've had so much fun today day dreaming about how the story will progress!

I'm really impressed by how many characters you've developed, while keeping each and every one of them unique. I don't get the sense that any are "throwaway" characters, added just as a foil for someone else. Each seems fully realised, with a real history and real motivations.

This was a very broad review... now that I'm into the story, I'll leave one with a few details next time!

“My super power is not being able to see people,” may in fact by my favourite line of the story. Oh, Mikey. I kind of want to find someone to make an icon out of that line. XD I do have to say that the explanation for his powers felt sort of...too easy, maybe? 'You're a genetic anomaly' makes sense, but it kind of left me wanting more.

The prophecy was wonderful. Sometimes when they're trying to write apocalyptic warnings people get too full of themselves or try to make it too complex, and the end result is that it isn't scary. Well, this was scary. It had such evocative imagery, and couple with such stark language it really hit hard. Great job.

I am also really, really, really happy with how you wrote the last scene in chapter 64. Jude's POV is always really well-done, but this time it just clicked, completely, so that the description went straight into my head in image form, not even feeling filtered through the narrative any more. The dynamics of the scene were lovely and that moment where the fireball hit Finn and fizzled just made me go "Oh. Yes. Fuck, YES."

Very, very happy right now. Cannot wait for what comes next, but this ending didn't even feel like a cliffhanger because it made me too happy. XD

er, I'm new too the story...so when you update I'll read, but I'm really bad about reviewing. It's a bit of a rare thing for me.

Since i'm new though, I just want to say that Ion needs to get a reality check. Can he be more oblivious? And my friends say that i don't notice things.

Also, Mikey rocks! He's so cute, I have to say he's my favorite character. So if you could just update soon, I'll try my best to remember to review. Deal?
