leonleon chapter 6 . 5/28/2011
I only recently found this story, but I love it so much! I tried to convince myself not to read it as you hadn't updated in so long and I would get really involved in it and be left hanging... but I read it anyway. Wherever you are, I hope you'll one day continue! If not, thanks anyway for the wonderful story.
rhythm within chapter 6 . 4/2/2011
I don't know if you'll ever pick this up again because it has been quite a while since you wrote it but it is absolutely beautiful and so well crafted. I am so impressed with the amount of research and work that you have put in to it. I'd love to see you continue but I understand if you don't. At any rate, it was a great read. :)
crystal balle chapter 6 . 11/27/2010
I absolutely hate Romeo and Juliet, but I love this story. Ford and Andy fit so well together and I love historical fiction, especially about gay characters. I'm really curious to find out how closely you'll be following Romeo and Juliet with the marriage and deaths and I got worried for Ford once I read about the heroin. I hope you update soon!
Tempus Frangit chapter 6 . 7/11/2010
How very charming! :) I hope you update quick!
dearie me chapter 6 . 6/1/2010
I love historical fiction and I especially love stories that explore homosexuality in time periods in which it wasn't necessarily accepted. So when I saw the summary for this story I was extremely excited, and I’m glad to say it was just as awesome as I had hoped. Despite the fact that Romeo and Juliet is literally my least favourite work of Shakespeare, Andrew and Ford are entertaining and believable and rework the story well. Your use of slang is appropriate without being excessive and the setting is believable and painted very well. I really like how you throw out beautiful sentences after seemingly normal paragraphs. Especially in the last chapter you had a few that really hit me. This line ‘We both burn red in a yellow room’ and this one the one about sometimes being Cupid and Psyche, both of them were lovely. Personally I got emotionally attached to both Andrew and Ford (and their relationship) very very quickly and am really interested in how you continue it. I would love to see a next chapter : )
Abstruse Blue chapter 6 . 12/28/2009
A quick review to say that I am still in love with this story and just now got around to reading the last two chapters. Much over due. Either way, great chapter, hope it won't be long til the next.
Le Cosmonaute chapter 6 . 11/21/2009
I don't even care that's it's been a long time, this chapter was so utterly fantastic. I'm just so happy to hear that you're definitely continuing. And if you do wind up needing a beta, I'm always ready and more than willing. I love how you incorporate Shakespeare so well-it really fits, and it adds such deepness, emotionally and by way of meaning. Not that you need help in those departments, certainly. Keep up the great work!
Sundown chapter 1 . 11/17/2009
Beautiful opening chapter. The voices, the atmosphere, the language just ring so true. I set one of my pieces for uni in the twenties, based on views of homosexuality...but in a more supernatural way, so it's really interesting to see your interpretation and I am hooked and will be reading the rest when I have more time. Great work so far!
Marrs chapter 6 . 11/17/2009
I'm in love with this story. It's so well written, and really authentic. Can't wait for the next update.
crack the sky chapter 6 . 11/16/2009
i really, really, like this. i like all the 20s slang; it gives the story a personality that, i find, most don't have. that said, i love your writing too. "we're burning red in a yellow room" or something to that effect - ah, that line just hit me hard. i don't know why. (:
kiwi chapter 6 . 11/15/2009

AnnaG.Luv chapter 1 . 6/7/2009
I have to tell you, well researched historical fiction makes me so giddy with happiness it's slightly unnerving. Stoked I found this story.
Round About Parker chapter 5 . 6/2/2009
I'm a sucker for period/historical fiction, but usually there's some amount of care lacking, leaving just the essence of the era, or it's the other way around and it's nothing but facts and important events. So this was a major surprise to stumble across. Your execution in this story is just right. There's a really good balance there. I can tell a lot of love/research/time has gone into this.

And this last chapter? So hot... (and they haven't even done the deed yet!)

I'm really looking forward to reading more of this!
Snarriet chapter 5 . 6/1/2009
Oh! :-) I always wish your chapters would be longer; that was really beautiful. Writing sex scenes in the way that they are realistic and erotic is one of the hardest things to do, I've noticed, and this was a superb example how to do it well.

Glad your computer problem is solved and that the new one is inspiring you to write. :-) Hope you update soon!
Le Cosmonaute chapter 5 . 5/31/2009
I'm fairly sure this is the most beautiful sex scene I've ever read-really, well done. And I'm very glad to here more will be coming soon.
