The doorbell rang as an add came on the television for a new skin cream that was supposedly better than all the other 500 kinds. I got up and walked toward the door, wondering who would be knocking on my door so late. Imagine my surprize when I opened to see Alderic standing there, a huge grin plastered on his adorable face, his perfect teeth gleaming from the light on in the kitchen.

"Hello," his dreamy voice said excitedly. "Cissy, right?"

"Uh-huh," I responded in a high pitched voice. Thankfully, I was gracefully accomplished in the art of masking emotions, which I promptly put into play.

"I know it's pretty late, and you're probably doing something, but would you like to go have dinner with me? I mean, you don't have to, but-"

"I'll get my coat," I responded, cutting off his babbling. He smiled greatfully as I grabbed my jaccked off of the coathanger that stood next to the door.
