First of all, let me just say that you are a bloody brilliant writer. You write some of the most real characters I've ever been privileged to read. (Thank you for that!) "Nerves" is amazing; "With Intent" is outstanding; "A River in Egypt" is, obviously, unrivaled (mostly because I sort of, maybe, possibly identify just a tad with Jonty McPhee). I think you may just have a midas touch when it comes to story-telling. So, seriously. Don't. Give. Up. On these stories. Please.

Life gets busy, I know, but if you have any time whatsoever, please consider continuing these stories. I'm more invested in these characters than any of my real friends, which probably makes me an absolute dork, but at this point I don't care.

That being said, in reading your stories, I notice all kinds of little British tidbits that I (being unfortunately American) know absolutely nothing about, but find really fascinating. Like the GCSEs, for instance, and the typical British school system. I know it's really difficult to slip explanations into storyline without completely messing with the plot, but is there any way you could provide brief explanations for the curious, outside of the story itself? I'd try to find out on my own on a website or something, but that's never as clear as an explanation from an actual person. Not even a problem, really, just something that makes your stories that much more intriguing, in my opinion. Something to think about.

Do you plan to do more of this? Because I adore this story, I really adore it.

Quite wonderful characterization!

I must say, I'm very impressed. The tone of each narrator are very unique to one another, and I do not notice any slip ups thus far. I hope you understand, I can't think how else to put it.

Just that you manage to be incredibly floral in Gareth's chapters, and blunt in Jonty's. Very impressive. :)

i'm listening to some trippy english pop while listening to this any somehow i imagine the characters to look very much like velvet goldmine. i'm really enjoying the way you switch pov, generally hate it, but the way you do it makes everything fit and lovely
