Reviews for A River in Egypt |

![]() ![]() this is so good. i positively adore this story. these characters are so cute. i know i've spazzed out before, but i really, really like the style of this. it's pretty damn awesome. great chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() While I liked how the train of thought circled back around, I thought this chapter was kind of lack luster. You have such an awesome story, so I don't see how these past couple of chapters could fall as short as they did. I'm hoping that we're just getting through a rough patch in their relationship and you're adequately representing their confusion by creating this let down feeling. Anyways, I look forward to reading more! (Oh, and Gareth was pretty cute at the last of the chapter, though it did seem uncommon for him to hold back that beaming smile of his. Guess Jonty's really going to have to suck it up. : D) |
![]() ![]() ![]() i do very much love this story. i'm unsure whether i've ever left you a review before (likely not, knowing me these past few months) but i have honestly enjoyed it from the very beginning. jonty is adorable in his insecurities and i really love gareth and his various affectations. they're beautiful characters and i'm always very pleased to find an update in my mailbox. |
![]() ![]() ![]() AH SUPER CUTE. The end of this chapter was so adorable. I love how awkward Jonty is. |
![]() ![]() Kind of sweet, yeah. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story! It's so cute and it makes me smile |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hope is a powerful thing. We live and die on it. Hopes can be crushed, but they are hard to kill completely and if they aren't totally dead, they spring up again and you can't move on. Which is good in this case. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Three chapters in and I can't help but be amazed by the style. It's simply brilliant. Gareth's language is so… so… I lack words actually to describe properly how he sounds so confident and snobbish and yet adorable. Drama queen all the way. And Jonty's more matter of fact tone makes it stand out and he seems a little bit like a voice of reason in Gareth's dramatic retelling of life. |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMG this totally made me squee! I just love Jonty's adorable character! And Gareth made me swoon, giggle and go "n'aw..." Too bad I'm the wrong gender! XD You are such an awesome awesome writer! I cannot wait for the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for your loyalty Ohop. But, to you and to anyone else who might be about to leap to my defence, sweetdonalbain81507 has contacted me, while signed in, to state that this was malicious use of her username, and not her view at all. Other stories may have had similar treatment. To avoid the malicious person getting what they wanted, please DON'T 'flame' her. It's a nasty prank both for the recipients and for her and no one needs to add to it. On the other hand, opinions are are opinions, and people are welcome to say what they will. I was amused and I'm feeling very Zen about it. Whether true or not, this is the first time someone's given such a heartfelt negative opinion on what I write. Others are welcome! I live to improve and I can only do that if the negatives are highlighted. Sweetdonalbain81507 is, as it happens, a very good writer. If nothing else, the review has hopefully pointed you towards somewhere to find more stories to read! Everyone relax, it's no big deal. |
![]() ![]() , stop trolling. You should say something more constructive. In my opinion, A River in Egypt is very charming and clever. It's not "shitty" at all. |
![]() ![]() You should take this down. It's too shitty to be seen by the general public. Read my stuff if you want to know what actual writing is like. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Jonty is SO cute. Haha. He was DEFINITELY alright, eh? ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() ohmygee. Please update? Please? You cannot just leave it like that... can you? You know you can't... not for long, anyway. We love you come back to the interwebs... |
![]() ![]() ![]() brilliant, just brilliant I couldn't stop laughing and tears are still running! ah man you're awesome! |
