|Reviews for Jack Saturday Can't Fail|
| JC433 chapter 16 . 9/3/2017
Just wanted to drop a note saying that this was a pleasure to read (stayed up till 4 am, actually, and there aren't many books that I deem worthy of doing that for.)
I would love to read more chapters. Pretty please?
| Guest chapter 16 . 5/11/2016
Oh man I loved this. For a few years I avoided reading it, knowing it wouldn't be finished anytime soon, but finally caved and do not regret it at all. I really admire the way you wrote from Jack's POV; incredibly convincing, and his obliviousness to the sprinkles of references was amusing.
Since you authorized your characters and settings for any fanfics, I'm going to fantasize that...
Jack has a big fight with Jacob about the authenticity of his feelings, at which point they part ways to stew in misery.
Jacob goes under Abe's protection, and Jack continues his roadtrip alone.
Everybody else can see it's a dumb fight but oh well.
Jacob is trained under Abe's tutelage, and they figure out just what makes him tick.
Jack has goofy, vicious fun with Kiki, deep heart-to-hearts with Ernest, and both J's absolutely fail at getting over each other.
This is when the Hunt Club swoops down, cornering Jack, who goes nuts and kills many, but is about to be overpowered when Jacob busts in and saves the day with his monster psi.
They reunite and kill off all the baddies with their backs against each other, just like they said they would. This time, though, Jacob is a skilled but brute force to be reckoned with, and Jack kills with smart maneuvers and insane pre-planned traps instead of emotions.
Finally, after acknowledging their past stupidity, they reaffirm their love with sappy poetry and intense manloving, and ride off into the distance.

It's upsetting that you're never going to come back and finish this amazing story, but that won't stop me from rereading everything you've written that I know of, lol.
| DirtyBooks chapter 16 . 3/27/2015
Curious question: did you continue this story elsewhere, or has it died? Understandable if it's fallen off the face of the earth; we've all been there, just would like to know. :D
| rAiNwAtEr1 chapter 16 . 3/3/2015
These two have completely captivated my heart, please resume this story or i'll die!
| Anon chapter 3 . 2/19/2015
Seems like a good story, but it hasn't been updated in quite a while.
| Guest chapter 16 . 6/26/2014
Severely depressing that this story is on perm hiatus. I'll just pretend the second to last chapter was the end of the story, and that the ending was supposed to be ambiguous. Who knows what will happen to them! Who knows! Ah, love it.
| Nbsiren chapter 16 . 3/11/2014
I hope you continue this
| MiranDuranDa chapter 16 . 3/2/2014
| Braget chapter 16 . 3/1/2014
It wasn't what I expected. But in an extremely good way. I really hope you continue this. Must know how it ends. DO THEY STAY LOVERS? WHEN DO WE SEE KIKI AGAIN? WHY DOES JACK HAVE RANDOM KNIFE TO THE CHEST PAINS? DO PEOPLE NOTICE JACOBS MISSING? I WANNA KNOW SO BAD!
| Kathryn chapter 1 . 11/28/2013
You had me at slurpity
| Greenpanda0u0 chapter 16 . 9/3/2013
NOOO! I totally forgot to check if this story was complete or not! Now I'm just left with a broken hearrrt!
| Preposterous chapter 4 . 8/12/2013
I suspected there off about Jack. When he said things like, "boss said not to do this ..." because it's morally wrong, I was weird because most people have their own moral compasses. But this makes a lot of sense. This story is very different from the God Eaters but I like it too.
| Geebs chapter 1 . 7/11/2013
Damn. Clearly Jesse hasn't been back here in well over 2 years. It really is too bad because he write some seriously kick ass stories. This is my favorite, and I've read all of his works over 30,000 words.
I've given up hope for updates on unfinished works, but Jesse, out of curiosity, if you aren't coming back to FP, I'm wondering if you're publishing somewhere else. Your writing is superb and I agree with others that you are easily a publishable author. If you are publishing, it would appear that there are many of us who would like to find more of your work.
A login and update of status as well as a link to your own webpage/publishing company/etc would be excellent and I think you'd garner a number of followers quickly.
If you've left FP for good and don't even get emails anymore, well, then, I hope this story (and all of your others) stay up for others to enjoy for as long as possible.

I loved this.
And, you have quotable quotes!
My favorites are …
“Which do you figure is worse - you load for bear and get attacked by a squirrel, or vice-versa?"
"Let's order a delivery guy from every pizza place in the phone book."
But, the absolute best one is …
"And from now on, every time you say the word 'establishment', you will lose control of your bladder."
It’s been a while since a story made me laugh out loud.
