It's actually a revealing story, it makes you realize how lucky you are to have people who care about you and loves you.
Hope you got through your problems after all these years, it could be really helpful for people who are being abuse.

I know this story was written a couple of years ago now, but it really struck me as I read it. Everyone is very real and simple, but I suppose that's because it's all essentially real. All too real. I enjoy the flow of this short story and the simple feeling that it gave me. Heck, as I was reading it, I was only reminded of my silly dream of being saved by someone. Being molested is really horrifying...painful. It's so difficult to say and I'm glad, so so so glad that "Laurie" was able to do so, even though the incident hadn't occurred long before. I know it took me way too many years.

Memories of an event never leave. Or are...difficult to completely forget. This was a good story, and I was so scared that it would end badly. I was so so scared, and even now, just thinking on it, it makes me want to cry. I liked this story a lot though. ...a lot. It reminds me of good and bad things, and really shows how much at least...one or two people can help in your life.

I already said I liked the flow and just how it was written. It gives one a good feeling, tempered with sadness. ...thanks again. I wish I could say more, but this type of story always requires a lot of thought. It makes me very thoughtful.

This was so good! I loved how Laurie's situation made you totally root for her and Jack :P

Oh my gosh, this was sad and sweet. It made me cry! Laurie and Jack's relationship is really cute and I'm glad that she had Jack to fall back on when she was vulnerable. Great one-shot! And I agree with one of your other reviewers, DancingChaChaFruit really is everywhere!

my goodness, this is amazing. sincere, frank, tender, sweet, and so direct, i almost felt like this story was looking straight at me the entire time. which is kind of weird, considering that's it a story...

anyhow. i can't believe this doesn't have more reviews and whatnot, but i'm sure it'll get more over time; this is great. i actually went and bought that red hot chili peppers song right now..not only did the lyrics take on a whole new meaning to me, the tune is actually pretty sweet. i've always liked red hot chili peppers but never really got into much of their stuff..

anyhow. okay, and one last random PS...DancingChaChaFruit is pretty much everywhere, aren't they? I guess, she, really. I mean, I go to 'Sally Can Wait', read some of her stories and DancingChaChaFruit is mentioned. Came to yours...same. Went to hers, read some stories...awesome.
