Ali Thinks: I'll start off with a little confession: The Mannequin is the first Le Meg story I've ever read— I know, I know, what rock have I been living under? Trust me, I don't know what's wrong with me either, but I do know that after reading this, it wouldn't surprise me at all if I ended up going through everything she's ever written until four in the morning.

After losing in a game of pool, Greg Harris becomes a human mannequin (emphasis on the man) for Pris, and has to wear a dress for her as she prepares it for the prestigious High Street Fashion Show. Despite the fact that he is wearing women's clothing— which really gives a new meaning to getting in a girl's pants— Greg still has a relatively good time helping Pris out. But that probably has something to do with the fact that he often fantasizes about having his way with her.

Aside from the completely unique, but still realistic plot, the characters, especially Pris, were extremely memorable as well. She was eccentric without being overly quirky to the point that it was overbearing. It just seemed natural for her, and it was clear by the way Greg thought about her that she was something different in the best way possible.

I leave you now with one piece of advice: if there was anything you could do in your life and not regret it afterwards, it would be reading The Mannequin. I could sit here and draw up a long list of good adjectives that describe this story, but I'd rather let you just click the link and be amazed.

I can't help but love how down-to-earth your writing is, and this story certainly doesn't disappoint! I think it's fun that you've listed the challenge requirements and rules at the start of these stories - it's fun to see the simple black-and-white rules you had to inspire these stories. The swearing rule in particular I enjoyed. How you handled that was very cleaver, what with the bet and then even though he broke the bet there STILL wasn't any actual swearing. For whatever reason, that really amused me :)

I've already been introduced to the Harris family through your other story, but it was fun to revisit characters from a new perspective, and get to know Greg so better! Thank you for sharing Greg and Pris' story with us!

It's become very difficult to find anything good on this site that I haven't already read or hasn't already been taken down, so you can bet (ha-ha) that finding a whole author page of great stuff made my day.

I loved the characters. I can definitely say you've done a great job with them because your heroine isn't someone I would think I'd be able to completely relate to and therefore automatically like, but I found myself doing both. Greg- he's such a FP cliche and I'll admit it, I totally LOVE him.

Also, I'm not sure how you did it, but you made me feel like I knew who everyone was and their whole life stories, in a oneshot (and I haven't read the other story about Charlie yet, I just realized it existed).

I LOVE your Harris family. I also love the unique traits about your characters. Pris was pretty different in this, but I think it really fit the character that you were portraying.

I don't know why, bu it made me think of a saying we have here at home. When's something's really difficult or painful, you say you are giving birth to dwarfs... now that I think about it it's a really wierd and random saying...

fab! i love greg and i love gregs father, you should do a oneshot how gregs parents met. that would be really good. are you posting your harris stories on livejournal as well? i cant remember seeing them there.
