![]() ![]() ![]() i want to see this performed. it must be beautiful. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You have such elegance in your work, it's so beautiful. I envy your talent. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nicely written, with well thought-out concepts. I like the original way you describe things - "shells of melon bellies" and "mudslide of blood" are examples. Just a question - you used Hindu-related words more than once in this poem. Is there a particular reason why? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Violet: Moon poetry means just what it sounds like it means - poetry about the moon (or that includes the moon). |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is absolutely beautiful. The imagery is just fantastic! It's little things, like rather than saying "cloudy nights" you say "cloud-choked nights, and "gazelle elbowed and bumblebee knuckled." Things like that just make it a Maisha poem. I could just go on and on, even though parts of it I don't understand, but I'll just say it's wonderful and I favorited it. I'm excited to hear more! -Violet Marx P.S. What is this moon poetry you speak of? |
![]() ![]() ![]() i discovered you just now by accident at just in and am beyond glad i did. while i think this has a little bit of grit in it, perhaps as you say it's cos it's to be belted out, not read. but this is fantastic. |
