Reviews for Slick McCool's Grindhouse Theatre |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() I had to know where El Lobo came from. ;) Great fun here. I like that Slick and El Lobo ended up facing off against an Aztec Mummy, just like in the ol' Santo films. Good call. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A fun chapter here. Plenty of cool battle scenes involved. The Jesus at the end seemed a little random, though. I did think a certain character was going to get a sort of karma based on the backstory. Still, caught a few minor mistakes and that's about it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this was really exciting and interesting, I can't wait for more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter here! Vigilantes, Russian mobsters, and Slavic mythology. Slick is very fun to read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter! Chainsaw Face was freaking awesome. Gotta love slasher flicks! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice work Mike! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hello Michael! Still remember me? Bien from the Philippines! I just wanted to say that I really like this series and that new thing you got going called Everdark... They are nice and very original. So, do you think you'll be sending any of your characters to the Philippines soon? Do you think you could name a character in your novels after me? After all, I am one of your most faithful reviewers... :-) I hope you and your family are in good health. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter! Yakuza, action, and Japanese ghost stories! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Disaster Island and the Lucha Libre chapters were pretty cool. I was reminded of this B movie I saw, about luchadors facing mind controlling Aztec mummies. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Pretty fun action chapter. Kung fu yetis definitely sounds like some B-movie from the 70s. Hopefully, we'll see Slick get into more kung fu awesomeness. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another strong McCool chapter. A bit of a religious tolerance aesop at the end, but plenty of awesome action along the way. Hoping to see more soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very awesome action scene here. Deep One Mobsters is an awesome combination. A few comments: The Tec-9 wasn't made until the mid-80s, and the M25 sniper rifle also was made in the late 80s. Apart from some minor anachronisms with guns (swapping out an Uzi, Skorpion, and similar guns could work). |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was damn cool. I love the Grindhouse film influence; zombie horror, blaxploitation, etc. Black Cat should get his own story/mini-series. Great work, yet again! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, machine elves. This chapter handles a truly vile thing from the 1970s and treats it how it should be. Thankfully here, disco's deader than dead. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hilarious set up here. Will that particular Mafia family be reoccurring mooks? |
