The second edition of The Newbery Companion covers Newbery winners and honor books from 1922 through 2001. Each entry includes a plot summary, themes and subjects, incidents for booktalking, related titles, and a bibliography about the author. Honor books are each given only a plot summary. This book is greatly improved and enhanced in comparison with its first edition. It features an updated preface and an introduction which notes controversy over the award. The three indexes of the first edition have wisely been integrated into a single, superior index. Formatting and print size have been improved. Finally, the general bibliography has been expanded from two to four pages. I don't like Paige at all. She's not a dynamic character. She's selfish and rude. She is ironic. She is worried about Jay not being allowed to have free will at the same time demands everyone follow what she wants. She tells Jay what to do without asking if if wants to do it. Why hasn't anyone put her in her place? This doesn't feel realistic to me. True friends will tell you off and tell you about yourself in the hopes of helping you to be a better person. Fake friends allow you to do what you want because they don't truly care. I get why Jay won't really say anything to Paige. He's too use to being submissive to say anything to anybody really.
I do enjoy you story because I plan on reading it until the end.

I read 'Friday of Magic' a long time ago and loved it. Then, a few days ago I felt like reading it again, but it wasn't in my favourites or follows for some reason, so I sorted through Fictionpress using everything I could remember about the story, to no avail. Finally I searched through the stories of every slash author in my 'favourites' and 'follows' until I found it. I shoulda known you wrote 'Alison's Lullaby', too...I've read that easily five times now.

It was adorable and sweet and crazy and had that wtf factor that I love.
And then Aaron was there and I think I fell a little bit in love with him because he is what I would be if I were a God?
Just the whole not knowing what to do with people? :P
Not that I want to be a God. Sounds boring (I say now even as I wish I had awesome magical powers and didn't have to go to school)... :P

Hey. I wanted to tell you that I only just found your story, and I was SO addicted to it, I couldn't put stop reading it every night for like... 4-5 days! I had to skip some of the more grown up sexual scenes, but I don't mind them being gay and stuff (which at first i thought I'd hate, but i didn't) because I'm mature... lol... me, mature? I'm more like Paige...
Anyway, I know I'm like... 2 years and a half late at reading this, but it captured my heart and it is definitely good enough to publish! (Have you considered that...?)
Overall, I love the way the characters were set out: how they looked, their personalities, their jobs even, and Jay's genie rules were so realistic... You literally got me addicted... And I am truly mature with the whole kissing and... er... thing... going on. Just... I'm addicted to Merlin right now... which is a BBC TV programme if u don't no (how can u not) and you managed to get me to move away from that for 5 days! You are amazing! THANK YOU! xxx

hey so i liked the idea alot, firs genie story where the genie lore isn't trite. unfortunately i can't stand another word with paige. the main characters strike me as extreme wusses if they actually listen to someone like that. and i really can't waste my time reading about wusses now can i?

I totally loved this! Before today, I kept bypassing this story because, for some reason I was a bit iffy about a human/genie story but I was like "Fuck it" and I'm glad I did because I freaking love it! There wasn't a single moment where I wasn't surprised in some way! I adored reading about Damario and Abdias and would totally love to read a story about them but you've already given us more than enough information about them :) anyways amazing job on this! :D
