I really love this story. I am like your typical parents dream child, always striving to do the right thing and be absolutely perfect in everyway, never taking a risk because I might get in trouble. This story to be is symbolic of the other people in the world, the ones who aren't perfect, smoke, do drugs and take risks. Although im not like that I kind of admire people with guts and free will, not tied down by the expectations they have already set for themselves, the ones that aren't like me, not so into trying to attain perfection their whole lives, I envy the way they think and what adventures they accomplish in life, things like travel as in this story, something that sounds so much fun yet so out of character for me that id never do it. So this piece of writing for me is like a window into their world, and I thoroughly enjoy every word.

Ooh, this is a very nice first chapter! I think Laila sounds pretty cool- so different and unique. I love those kind of characters :). I think this is well-written, too. It's really caught my attention :)

I can't believe how little feedback this has gotten.

This is probably one of my new favourite fiction works here on fictionpress. I love the description, I love the idea, it's great. However, one thing I would look out for: Spelling and grammar at times. Reread things a few times, there's always something to fix. Otherwise, I love the story. It's very obvious that you do a lot of reading and work hard at writing.

I cannot remember the chapter, but you said there was a reference to a book, with the thing about the bird and the egg that was the world. Could you, by chance, let me know what the book was? Because I've been making lists of books to read, and I've already gotten a lot of good ideas about where to start simply from reading this.

That was almost totally unrelated, I'm sorry.

I can't wait to see what happens next. I love the characters: Laila is probably my favourite thus far. Sometimes I wonder what's going through her head-however, Mary's quite interesting to read, so I'm completely satisfied. It's nice to see the changes she's made in her life and in her mind.

Really great job on this, keep up the great work.

I loved the beginning bit the most when Laila's referring to songs and litretature and when she talks about religion.

You know how the sun glistens off the newly fallen snow in the winter. That picture, just gives so much bliss, because it's so perfect. So perfect that you don't dare to step in it. That's like this story... I love it, and because I love it so much, and it seems so amazing to me, I don't want to comment because like that one single footprint, a comment so flawed as one I would leave ruins the nearly perfect story already here. (and maybe also because I couldn't find the answer xD)

I actually really enjoyed that chapter. The way you gave detail reminded me of my own writing. Ending with lyrics gives the readers sonething to hang on to, to think about. Well done!
