That was hot! After the closing scene if she didn't hump him senseless she's fired. Smart and deadly, sexy
| Amhj89 chapter 1 . 6/10/2014
Excellent writing, you've made me hate him in the first chapter
| Anne L chapter 42 . 5/18/2014
I have to say I'm not dissapointed. Usually I read stories on here that seem interesting at first and then.. they're so cliche I feel like vomiting, yuck..
But this was different and I'm so happy.. (how sad is that)
Ezekiel.. Gods when I read that name one word came to my mind 'Angel Of Death' and in a pure horror way.. And that was just my first reading his name. Jameson is such a simple name..
His mother was a prostitute and his father abandonned him (or maybe he was some nameless customer) I never expected such history.. It explains why he's such a psychopath.. I bet he killed yola and Tanya because he was reminded that he was a bastard.. Those weren't suicides... (or maybe that's just me).. It also explained why he said he hated Melissa at first.. His mother was a prostitue. Such a messed up man.. -shakes head- But then he's a psychopath.. What do you expect? Honestly, I never suspected this novel to become the 'next pretty woman' cliche..
To be honest, I think she'll end up with Roger.. Why? Because she said that she only likes Ace as a brother and I can't see them in some sort of romantic relationship.. It'll ruin the friendship.
Besides, Roger and Melissa can be there for each other because they were used by Ezekiel and can understand themselves because of that.. And she blushed when she kissed his cheek -giggles- so lovely.. And when they first met Ace in the park they were having so much fun.. Like some twisted version of a date. Ha ha.
As for Ace he doesn't even have a stable job how can he ever even provide for her.. -shakes head-
I demand that you write an one-short or something 'cause I really can't stop thinking about this novel! Oh gods..
Ok, I should've used the word please or something but ugh, I'm such a nice reader and you're such a nice writer.. Can't you-can't you just.. -sobs dramatically-
so, yeah I expect to see some thing related to the story soon and you better respond ('cause you're so nice and all).. I know you must be reading this after all...

So, Melissa got a reality check. She should have kept her mouth shut. That was definately not the time to step up and grow a brain. And for all I know, it was a test. I don't think Ezekiel wants that harsh violence around her, but if it was a test...EPIC FAIL.

I make it a point to write reviews for stories that have me reading from the beginning to the end, since it rarely happens. I really enjoyed this story; it was very refreshing and unique compared to most slave/love/drama stories of today, ESPECIALLY on this website. This is the first I've read in years since the overall quality of the website disentegrated a while a go.
But anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed living through the story of Melissa with the feeling of actually knowing her, and really liking her. She's one very memorable and easily liked character. I will say though, I found it inconsistent with her personality to describe and see things in a very detailed, elaborate, and sophisticated manner what with her doing terrible in school and rarely reading. If the story were done in 3rd POV then it would have made more sense, but we are seeing it through Melissa eyes and mind, who isn't educated in proper English.
Other than that, I really didn't find an issue with the story, not including minor typos easy to overlook. The story was well written, well thought out, and the characters had a purpose and believable personalities. And I really wished Melissa ended up with Roger (was hoping for a kiss when they were in his place ) but that's just me. :)

This is one of the best fiction pieces I have ever read, published included. You are a fantastic writer congratulations

I have no idea why I just discovered this story now! This as such an amazing read and deserves more favorites and reviews! I think I'll spend the next few days reading your other stories, haha. You're an amazing writer!
| Tir-Na-nOg-Niamh chapter 42 . 9/20/2013
This story made me cry it was so beautifully written and well thought out and I adored it and everything that was predictable should've been predictable and everything that was a plot twist surprised me and it was just fabulous. I like that you ended it where you did with no plans for a definitive future (though I definitely would not complain if a one shot popped up as a form of sequel) for Melissa with either Ace or Roger. (*cough cough* Roger *cough cough*) Have you ever tried getting this published? It's so fantastic, I would definitely buy it.

I LOVE that you didn't let Ezekiel get the girl and turn into a good guy at the end. I know you kept SAYING you wouldn't but I wasn't sure I believed you. AHHHH and I also loved that she isn't jumping into another relationship and that she considered her baby's welfare the most. I'm a YA blogger so I'm constantly stuck with these TERRIBLE guys who bully the girl, but it's because they have some tragic past blah blah blah. It's NOT okay, but somehow they always get the girl at the end despite how poorly they treated them only a little while beforehand, because they are rich, handsome, and they are sorry they didn't mean it. (I have really, really strong feelings on this. Particularly in YA novels it tells teens it's ok to be bullied and that it turns into a healthy relationship. I could go on but I won't). A big part of YA novels is the need to be in a relationship, and I'm in no way saying that relationships aren't GOOD, but it's also promoting the idea that you have to be in a relationship to have value (I'm looking at YOU Twilight!). So I love that she is focusing on herself and getting herself together first (also I loved that last scene with Ezekiel, it was powerful!). Anyway this is a super long review I'm going to stop here and keep reading all your other stuff haha

just finished reading your work. this was great! i looove how perfect Ezekiel's words are. it's just... terrifyingly beautiful. however, i find him a tad bit perfect (although his attitude is not... but you get my drift, yes?) i love how you wrote a story that is about drugs, illegal trades, and prostitution. it is a bit refreshing from the other stories that i usually read (sappy romance stories). i wish you wrote a sequel or epilogue for this. overall, you did a great job with this one! thank you.
