I must say, this story is truly impressive. I love the world you've created and I hope you seriously consider getting it edited and looking for an agent, if not for this story then for something else you write. You have natural talent and you've done quite well in creating an alternate world. Good job!

Just curious, let's say if Melissa never got pregnant and not do anything else that pissed Ezekiel off, would they have kept on living together in the long term? 2, 5, 10 years? Or would he eventually leaves her when she gets too old and replaces her? I'm really interested, even though we've seen the last of Ezekiel I still can't stop thinking about him. Also, wouldn't it be really awesome to see what happens when Ezekiel meets his son? I'm really curious, surely those two must have crossed paths at some point in the distant future. Maybe a one-shot of that perhaps? *desperately hints*

Anyway, now that I typed out most of the stuff that was bugging me since the previous update, on to this chapter...

I'm relieved to see Melissa alive out of Ezekiel's clutches and back on her feet. Being in a rehab is definitely helping her and I'm really starting to like Floyd. I keep forgetting that not all extremely rich people are... like Ezekiel. Hm, is there a hint that Melissa might be his secretary? I really hope she gets a job and have a normal life. I can't imagine her going back to prostitution in the Metro after everything has happened.

Ah, Ace is so nice and helptful. Melissa deserves a decent guy like him after all the things she has to put up with in her whole life.

Have I told you how extremely sad I am to see this story finished so soon? It seems like yesterday I had stumbled across this on FP and read about 20 chapters all in one go. Wow... there's only one more chapter, the end is too near :(

gosh, this story just tugs on my emotions each time i read a little more about melissa...i hate how you do that. ;)

i like the adoption angle. its clear to see how difficult a decision melissa has to make. i kinda want to see melissa be with her child because it would be sad if she had to give him up, even though she thinks it would benefit him the most.

its great that floyd helped her out. it almost sounded like you were hinting that melissa might end up working as a secretary for floyd...i guess we'll have to wait and see. i can see that this is going to be open ended but i'm kinda hoping for one last appearance from ezekiel - dude is going to be missed. ;)

Aww, poor Melissa. At least she has options now, good options even if the choice is difficult to make. Ace is such a sweetheart here, a good friend. And now I'm just babbling, but good chapter! I can't wait to read the end.

i've been reading this every time i'm on my laptop and i've just been hooked completely. i absolutely love it. especially ezekiel - the dude is such an amazing villain, sometimes you expect him to soften up around melissa but i love the fact that he stays true to his character.

you write amazingly. the action scenes were great and this last chapter almost had me in tears. it looks like there's going to be a sequel since there are only a few chapters left. that would be awesome. i really want melissa to kick ezekiel's butt somewhere down the line... ;) ezekiel is such a cool name - how did you think of it?

I'm glad he finally finds out about the pregnancy. It would be pointless trying to drag it out too long and his reaction was spot on. It was inevitable that he would leave her and as much as I hate his actions, it's so realistic that I wouldn't have it any either way. Poor Melissa, I'm so glad Ace was there for her. Ezekiel's final speech to her was so harsh and like a slap to the face. What I really hope for Melissa is for her to get her life back on track from now on, maybe even eventually quit drugs somehow (maybe Ace can help her?) and raise the baby. I just want her to say "f*ck you" to Ezekiel by doing everything opposite that he predicts and end the cycle of drugs, prostitution and poverty and not give him the satisfaction of her "punishment"

Wow, this chapter was intense to read. I'm so glad that it got written and I can't wait for the next one :)
