Reviews for Noah Murcutt |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yay for New Found Australia! Lol. I was devastated to learn of Thomps' fate. I really wished that he and Noah would get together in one way or rather but still a touching ending to a lovely story. I hope you continue writing! |
![]() ![]() I love how you tied everything up in the end. It's sad and touching. The part with the two sailors that jumped overboard was so touching and tragic. It really helped portray the harshness of life at sea. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love the story! It is just the right lenght and I already told you that I adore your writting style...you know you should really write a real book someday you've certainly got the potential for it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() this was so fucking amazing I'm crying right now just becasue I'm so sad it's over. I adore the ending so so so much! I love you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love Kit (as I've mentioned) but Charles owns! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like Kit but he seems a tad insane |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love it but I wish there was more about the time when he was on the ship, like Kit, I have a thing for sailors/pirates/navy |
![]() ![]() ![]() okay, I was wrong, though it is weird to have that many crew members on a normal ship |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm about half way through the chapter and for some reason I think their pirates. Not many ships had large crews like that, but pirates did... I'm probably wrong |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like it so far and if this is badly writen than you must be amazing |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was in the mood for a historical yesterday and this came up in my search. I really enjoyed your portrayal of the hardworking and tense environments of the sea and the glimpse into gay nightlife afforded through Katty. Noah's different discoveries about himself and interpretation of his emotions (the progression of lust/love into resentment) felt real to me. I just recommended this to a friend and described him as uncomplicated, but now I don't think that is very true. In many ways he is, but there is also a depth of feeling to him like a real person. Oh, and I was very, very happy with how things turned out for him. :) Anyway, fantastic story. Just what I needed! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, it took me a few days to read (because of spotty internet *sigh*), but I am so glad that I could read this. I enjoyed it immensely. I love historical fiction, although I don't find really good historical fiction. When I do, it's a treat. Thanks! Anyway, I thought this was absolutely fabulous. I also was very happy with the ending bit. I was curious about Thomps throughout the entire thing...his sticky end made me a little sad. And my jaw literally dropped open at Katty Kit's end. That was...unexpected. But this story has one of the best endings I've heard, well-written wise. :D This was amazing, thanks for posting it. :) ~Maggie, AftG |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good story, the style had me laughing for a moment. But all in all it was a plus for the story, I especially loved that you told us about the other charaters of the story (lucky Kit) it all quite good and I'm glad I took the time to read all of it. So hanks for the story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ha ha, very nice. I wonder if you've read Sins of the Cities of the Plain? It's basically Victorian PWP and hilariously filthy but you did such a good job with the setting here that yours really reminds me of it, which is impressive considering SCP is the 'real deal'. Only yours has, you know, plot and characters you actually care about. Charles' attachment to Noah is somewhat abrupt and I liked Thomps best, but I can see why you did what you did, and the offhand style of writing leant itself to that sort of abruptness in a way that wouldn't have worked otherwise. It was all strangely soothing to read. Keep it up. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good story! XD I like how you tried to stay as historically accurate as possible. You also a stayed away from a hard core M rating in this one, or so I thought. I liked it. I may have liked your others better but I still liked it. Thanks for the good read and I can't wait for your fall piece. |
